The latest laughfest from Tian Xia Di Er director Feng Chao was played against the star-studded historical epic The Founding of a Republic as a counter-programming during the 2009 National Day holiday frame in Mainland China. With similar setting to Tian Xia Di Er, costume comedy Huang Jia Ci Qing (literally "Royal Tattoo") features an ensemble cast that includes Huang Xiaolei, Zhang Tong, Wang Jinsong, and the Flowers band, with cameo appearances from Liu Hua, Dai Jun, Wang Qian, and Cui Bo. Combining kung fu with slapstick comedy, the film goes from a Prison Break parody to a treasure hunt set in late Qing Dynasty China.

When the "Hundred Days Reform" failed, Emperor Guangxu is imprisoned inside the Forbidden City by Empress Dowager Cixi. Lu Er (Zhang Tong), a bricklayer who does the palace's maintenance work, meets the Emperor by chance, and is given the mission - with the imperial edict tattooed on a certain part of his body - to infiltrate the state prison to get a scholar (Wang Jinsong) safely out of there. But Lu Er finds that he is not the only one after the scholar, as assassins, constables, gangsters, pirates, and ninjas are showing up all over his way - or are they actually coveting the map to a royal treasure that is hidden in the tattoo on Lu Er?

The DVD-9 version comes with bonus features like trailer, MV, and cast and director interviews.

　　西元1898年，戊戌變法失敗，光緒皇帝被慈禧囚禁在瀛臺。維修皇宮的魯二世代泥瓦匠出身，為了接下圓明園剩下的工程，將光緒皇帝密謀的計劃刺在身上，以打劫錢莊為由進入天牢營救大學士。天津混混許三刀因搶地盤被震南城紅中和手下的東西南北風暴打一頓，他找到機會想刺殺紅中之時，卻被捕頭福爾摩當作維新亂黨抓入天牢。天牢內，殺手闖入欲刺殺大學士，卻誤幫魯二救走了大學士，許三刀也趁機逃出。無意中紅中的小弟東風又得知魯二和大學士也入住此店，而且魯二身上的紋身還藏有一個關於寶藏的天大秘密，與此同時，許三刀和老闆娘也正在密謀一個瘋狂的計劃……
