EEG made a big mistake signing her. Do they really expect people to buy a cd that has 2 EPs combined into one by a singer who cannot sing?

The cd is fab, 9/10! Look out 4 tracks 1 & 8 in particular. Her music will get even better in the future!

 Isabella Is The Girl Of My Dreams Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I don't know if this is an appropiate title for a music product review and but this is how I describe Isabella Leong. The ultimate girl of my dreams. Innocent and fresh looking, but also at the same time, sexy. All the song tracks were composed quite nicely, the lyrics ranged from being average to very good and the star, the musical arrangement, is just excellent. Track No. 3 was originally sung by The Cardigans with the song title being "Lovefool". The songwriters for this catchy song are Peter Svensson and Nina Persson. Isabella makes quite a good effort in singing the Cantonese version. But I believe she still has a lot to improve on, especially her singing vocals (that's why I've given her a 8/10 rating). The MV's were quite grainy, but still the cinematography is top notch. I think it was shot in a cinematic fashion. I also watched the Hong Kong TVB versions of "Being Good Every Night" and "Da Da Da" on TVBJ, which is quite different to the two shot in this CD/VCD package. In the TVB version of "Being Good Every Night", Isabella wears a beret (or a hat of some sort) throughout her whole dancing sequence in the MV, while in this one, she doen't. As for the MV - "Da Da Da" (TVB), she and a few dancers appear in it, while in this one there's a bonus of animation in the MV. The photo booklet and the postcards of the beautiful and charming Isabella are just so beautiful, that I feel like "singing" "You Are So Beautiful" to Isabella, to sing out my genuine affection for her. Anyway, this CD/VCD was pretty well worth the purchase.

 A few things about the COMPLETE EDITION: Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
First, I think the company promoting Isabella is definitely taking advantage of people by having the two EPs released on the same day with all the same songs except 3 tracks...and at full album price. Then to release a COMPLETE EDITION (which should have been the way this album was released in the first place), is a good marketing stategy for EEG, but a BAD customer relations gimmick. It made a lot of people (including me) angry. However...keep in mind that EEG did this, not Isabella. So, personally...I do not hold her in any way responsible for the bad idea of the EPs into a COMPLETE EDITION. That fiasco falls all on the shoulders of the record company. Second, the packaging on this release is just as awful as the "To Find Love" EP (the version I initially purchased). The book is bulky and impossible to store while the CD and VCD are in little flimsy paper packets just loosely tossed into the book along with some stickers and some kind of beauty product (BTW: could someone tell me what that is? Is it face cream or shampoo...I cannot read the directions because they are in Japanese and Chinese.). The photo cards of Isabella are a little irrelevant to the music. Again, though, blame EEG for these things: not Isabella. She is merely their pawn. Also: did anyone else notice that on the COMPLETE EDITION, the cover is NOT the image shown here at YESASIA (that image is merely the box the book came in...the real product: the book, has a different and far less attractive cover)? And inside the book, the track information is WRONG. It lists only 7 tracks and has the VCD information mixed in with the audio information, although both are separate on this edition. It "appears" EEG didn't even bother to print a new lyric book to go with the new COMPLETE EDITION! That is the height of lazy and non-committment to excellence. NOW ON TO THE MUSIC...I find I really like her voice. It's very pleasant on most songs and I think she'd do better with better material. There are far too many sound effects (birds chirping, water dripping, etc) that detract from her vocals. My guess is, that as Isabella grows up (she is very young and easily manipulated at the moment), she will find herself and #1: ditch EEG and go with another music company that can promote her better and more fairly to her fans and #2: pick songs that are more flattering to her sound and showcase her ability much more. The raw talent is present in Isabella and it is evident she enjoys singing. I think she is being mis-led and mis-guided and I honestly see that changing soon. I would LOVE another release by Isabella with less "fluff" in the packaging and in the musical arrangements and just hear Isabella singing standard pop without all the "da da da's" and background NOISE that makes no sense. It will come. Anyway, I rate this an 8-out-of-10 because I do think there is room for improvement and I feel it's time for Isabella to step up and be her own person with her music much more than she is doing now. But I will NOT give her a 1 or 2 for the mis-managing of her career with the 2 EPs into one COMPLETE EDITION or for the lousy packaging...I can't see holding those things against a young lady who is receiving really poor advice. Her singing should be the point of any review, and her singing is fine. It's the other things out of her immediate sphere of command that are the real problem.

EEG is giving HK music a bad name. So many people think that the HK entertainment industry is all about money making and no talent. With albums like these, it's hard to defend HK
