"If These Walls Could Talk II" tells three different stories that each take an intimate look at the lesbian experience in America as it has involved from the 1960's to the present. In "1961", Vanessa Redgrave stars as an older woman whose companion of 50 years dies. In "1972", a feminist co-ed played by Michelle Williams discovers her attraction to an outsider. In "2000", Sharon Stone and Ellen DeGeneres portray a loving couple eager to experience parenthood. Three couples in three different decades, bound by an unconventional love and a struggle, as lesbians, to establish an identity in a society that has often, at best, been ambivalent about respecting them.
