Korean-American Mando-pop singer Nicky Lee returns with his fourth solo album. Starting his career as part of Jeff Huang's Taiwanese hip-hop group Machi, Nicky attracted the attention of listeners with his unique vocals and good sense of humor. He landed his biggest success at last year's Golden Melody Awards where he was honored Best Mandarin Singer for his second album Baby It's Me. Highlights of Nicky's new album include the online game theme song "Heaven" (Track 1) and the album's titular Bu, Wan Mei ("Not Perfect" - Track 3). His theme song duet "Premonition" (Track 10) with Li Bingbing for the Chinese theatrical version of Jackie Chan and Jet Li's movie The Forbidden Kingdom is also part of Bu, Wan Mei.

not as good as his previous album
| the songs here were not as good as those in his previous album. no.2 and 3 are prob my favourite songs in this album. the rest were rather non-descript...but still give him credit for his singing |

"Not Perfect" but close!

Honestly I was surprised at how put together this album was. After hearing 蒼天 [the song for an online game] I thought Nicky might be going in a different direction with his music, but I was wrong. This album is definitely really really great!
With a great production team made up of Jae Chong, Kenji Wu, Ah Xin from F.I.R., etc, and Nicky's amazing voice, this album does not disappoint. Nicky's mandarin has improved a lot too. It's a must buy for R&B lovers. |
