inoubliable Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
If some people would only realize that the songs in this album were not meant to be released like her previous albums given that the recording environment was not hi-tech and her mood/concentration was not at the performance level, then they would be more understanding about the quality of her voice, and the delivery of her high and low pitches. These were "test songs", and not the finalized versions of an album. To say this album is "inoubliable", as based in France, is to commemorate Teresa's achivement in the music as a whole, and not at the peak brilliance in her musical life. Those of us who look for a "perfect" album are not thinking along the right track. Sorry.

collectible Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
this is a very unusual album of ms teresa teng. she covered lots of old songs, one by japanese songstress li xiang lan .... spring breeze blowing in the winter nights ... it expresses very well how a married woman feels when she meets the right person after her marriage. back to her songs - these were done in her paris apartment and not in an official studio where she sung leisurely rather than seriously, something serious to note. therefore it is an album worth collecting, not to be listened only on winter nights.

Very rare music of Teresa Teng Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I bought this album from Thailand. I like it very much because most of the songs are very rare. I like the song "Abraham, Martin and John". It is very sweet song, and there are a lot of good meaning in this song. Although, each stanza is almost the same, the composer of this song was very good to compose it. I believe that people who listen it in the first time must not understand whom the composer mentioned. They are the name of the president of the USA, Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr.,
and Robert Kennedy (Bobby) who were the very important and famous president in the USA. If you would like to know more, you should find the articles about this story. Moreover, you will not be disappoint if you buy this album.

.....it's still must be you.... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I got this album as soon as its first release, not one but a few. I knew it at the time before I play it that the voice of Ms.Teresa Teng would be different because the vocal for this album was only meant for "testing" and not for releasing as the final recording. True, her voice was not the same as her usual self, but who in the world would sang the way they would usually sound on a "testing" session recording? With at least 10s to 20s of try per song that makes it not possible for any level of recording artist/singers to use thier "finalize" voice in all those try's. The voice inside each songs does express a whole lot of pain and saddness, and those that doesn't just sound really hollow in sense of emtiness. It must be how Ms.Teng was feeling at the time of the recording or what was going on with her life at that time and it just shows through her voice. Ms.Teng was one of the very rare singer who can express a personal feeling through her voice, may it be happy, sad, or just begin playful. I enjoy listening to her sing ever since the first time I heard her sang and I will always. I understand there are many that does not care for her and would even still at this point try to "degrade" her. Personally, I wouldn't care less, because if I will be the last person on earth to remember her voice, I will still cherrish her sing as she was then and now(if there is a now). Simply because she really sings and she sing it so well in the voice of "Teresa Teng".

Teresa's still the best Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
It's true that Teresa's singing on this CD is not her best. But remember, the songs on this record were not meant for release. She was testing out the songs. I loved how intimate her voice sounded on this CD. It really does sound like she was singing to me and only to me. The english songs are not so bad. I was very moved by Abraham, Martin and John.

The changes in her voice over the years is truly amazing and no matter what, her voice is still mesmerizing.

Precious recordings does not equal quality Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
I'm afraid that this precious recording does not equal with the quality of singing. Tsai Chin does it much better than Teresa. The English numbers are also funny. Sorry! I didn't like it at all.

Beautiful but not the best! Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
In Teresa's long and storied career, she has produced many first class albums. My favourite ones are her classic debute, Songs from the Island volume 1 to 3. But there are many close runner-up and big time favourite. A fundamental change to her singing style started in her later years when she decided to go high pitch singing. With this she sounded like a little girl with very unpolished voice and sometimes mumbled lyrics. An average standard with lots of capitalizing on arrangement and production. Not worth listening to on any level. I'd give this no stars if it was possible.

Precious vs quality Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Reviewers must distinguish between 'precious' and 'quality'. This album is certainly very precious to come by. It is a gem or treasure for the Teresa's fan as it is forever the only last recording left in this world! The quality of singing is not fantastic considering the past standards of Teresa's album. This one is definitely last in the queue. This my evaluation after reading diverse opinions expressed by many reviewers.
