???
| This film might catch your attention from start to finish but it's only because you have to concentrate to see what's going on. One of the twins misses her dead sister so much she hangs mirrors all round her room so she could look into them thinking her sister is there. I thought that was very clever. However the end is a little confusing and I don't quite know what to make of it. |

Out of all the many horror movies I've watched these many years, this one is just average...the storyline is quite confusing sometimes, but at the same time, it's decent. As for terms of horror, well, there isn't really anything to be scared about, the horror within this movie is very weak, to horror movie goers, this will probably be considered 'lame'...but to the people who never watch horror movies, then this would probably be scary enough for u. My rating: 4/10 |

yoo ji tae!
| He is a good actor. I liked this movie because of him. It's scary in its own way. I am confused of the ending though. Is he...? or Isn't he? |

I liked it
| very interesting film. I didn't expect too much but ended up liking everything about it actually. Nicely paced too. Not too fast, not too slow. You could make different views out of the ending. Like the other review says, it might not appeal to those who like SCREAM type of movies. |

Good movie

I am an American and teach English in Korea. I have about 8 DVDs of Korean movies. I first saw this movie in the theater with no subtitles. The subtitles helped me understand the story more. The movie is not that scary. It is interesting in saying that on the other side of the mirror another world exists. Yoo Ji Tae, excellently portrays a man in tormoil over his partners (he was cop), and he feels responsible for the death. Watch it you'll enjoy it. |

First of all, I am not Japanese. Dont forget hunny that we are talking about a movie here. I didnt give any points about Korean people or Japanese people. Jealousy-? Um, I talked about this film and about all of the other Korean scary movies that I have seen so far. FOr the record, I have seen many korean films. The CLassic is my favorite movie, Autumn Fairly Tale is my favorite Drama, Kang Ta is one of my favorite singers. In no way, do I hate or dislike Korean things. I like what i like, i dont like what I like. And then, who are to say thinks like "there is no other country like Japan in this earth that is professional at copying others and fabricating things in order to hide horrendious history of yours" because to say something like this you MUST (yeah right haha) have lived in Japan and understand everything about Japan(haha highly doubt it), or obviously like to listen to rumors and just "Hate" on other asian peeps. Com on, you gotta admit, its kind of hard trying to hide something like WWII. And then, "Japanese like you smile and sweet talk on the surface but think ugly inside" you can obviously say this about a whole group of people because you have talked with every single japanese person in the world. And, ofcourse they are all the same, just because they are Japanese. "Stop using mirrors to groom your outside, start using them to CLEANSE yourself." Um,I came here to rate a movie and give my advice. And because you read my name, you turned this into Hate mail. Because of a piece of advice from some guy, you were willing to change the subject and give some quiet strong comments. Why? Because he has a Japanese name, and likes Japanese horror flicks. "I hope someday you can admit what's true." I hope one day. you can admit whats true. Your a hater. "There are lots of great Korean films, and what's true is true." Sorry, I never said that their arent are good korean flicks. Maybe you need to stop looking at other people, and take a look at yourself with a "mirror". Tell me something, how do you live with youself? Holding so much hate? |

Psychological Thriller
| If you expect to see slasher flick such as 'Scream,' this film is not for you. That said, it still is a scary story. We live in this world together and often see and hear the same things, however perceive them quite differently. The mental distance between you and I is sometimes the scariest thing since it IS what creates loneliness and sense of being misplaced. The mirrors in this film represent such mental barriers among us. In fact, mirrors are strange things, they allow you to 'see' your existence but at the same time 'split' you into two and create an illusion of different beings. It's like this Chinese philosopher who woke up from his nap one afternoon and remembered dreaming of being a butterfly. He said, "Did I dream of being a butterfly or am I a butterfly dreamed of being a man? Am I awake or dreaming?" The best thing about this film is that it is open to different interpretations. So expand your mind and try to understand what's behind or inside the mirror. As the protagonist says, "what you see is not everything." |
