Ip Man Original Soundtrack (OST)

Collaborating with director Wilson Yip for the fourth time, Donnie Yen takes the leading role in a momentous biopic of martial arts grandmaster Ip Man, whose students include Bruce Lee. Endorsed by Ip Man's son who served as consultant for the film, Ip Man is set in Foshan, China in the 1930s and 40s, witnessing the great poverty and oppression brought on by the Sino-Japanese War. When a Japanese general begins challenging Chinese martial artists to deadly duels, it is up to Ip Man to avenge the lives of his fallen comrades and defend the pride of his people. The film also co-stars Simon Yam, Ikeuchi Hiroyuki, and Gordon Lam. Ip Man is scored by award-winning Japanese composer Kawai Kenji whose soundtrack credits include Ghost in the Shell, The Ring, Death Note, as well as the Hong Kong films A Battle of Wits, Seven Swords, and Wilson Yip's previous Dragon Tiger Gate.
