Usually, it takes several times listening to something for me to appreciate it. I first heard the song at the end of vampire knight (before I knew what she looked like let alone wore as some people may suggest) and I loved it. I don't know why people are complaining about her voice being flat/shrill, etc. Whatever...I can name several more popular J-pop stars who get away with this all too often. (Ayumi Hamasaki, Koda Kumi, Kuraki Mai...) Sure her vocals aren't perfect but I've never heard a vocalist who had perfect vocals...At least her song here is unique and touching and most importantly deeply emotional and moving.
