YesAsia Editorial Description

An unprecedented collaboration between China and Finland, Jade Warrior enacts a Finnish legend in the most innovative way! Mixing Finnish ethnographic culture and Chinese martial arts, Jade Warrior features rising Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu (Seven Swords) and Finnish actor Tommi Eronen. The film consists of two inter-related stories, one set in ancient China and the other, contemporary Finland. The film opens with a courageous warrior (Tommi Eronen) in China, who is given the chance to acquire eternal life by defeating the Devil (Cheng Taisheng). But he falls in love with a girl (Zhang Jingchu) and opts for mortality in hopes of meeting his beloved agin after reincarnation. A millenium later, a Finnish blacksmith (also Tommi Eronen), left alone after his girlfriend's departure, discovers the secret of his former life as a brave warrior. He knows he is destined to battle with the Devil once more. A box office hit in Finland and northern Europe in the summer of 2006, this innovative film by Finnish director Antti-Jussi Annila is now out on DVD!

what the? Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
ok so this looks like was going to be an interesting movie, however they failed to mention that it was a flash back type thing where the black smith had visions of his ancestor and that is where most of the action takes place, then there this old dude that gets him to make some mystic device so he can appearently fight him? i was pretty darn confused if he was a bad guy why did he wait until he was finish to try and kill him? the fact it gose back and forth between him and his ancestor can get pretty confusing the fight scenes are great but the story was week it would have been better to concentrate on the warrior prince of the past instead, it tried to involve a love story and the story behind the blacksmith neither of which made sense, the old dude was appearently the demon which was supposed to be in the box but wasn't if none of this makes sense then your not alone if your looking for a good action packed movie with a good story and fight scenes look somewhere else. its an ok movie not good not great and not the most terrible thing ive seen just confusing.
