I was so happy DSP finally stepped up with the cash and we see it in the songs and the Pretty Girl music video! Hara and Jiyoung have improved especially in the song Ing (I Am), but what is more apparent is Nicole and Gyuri, both taking over the position which Sunghee used to hold and i think they are doing a great job :D The only thing is that, their albums tend to have Seungyeon singing most of the lines, it's not a bad thing but it's not letting Gyuri or Nicole showcase their singing abilities and those two can belt it out too. Overall, i really liked this album, it was such a departure from Rock U and Pretty Girl got the public really interested in KARA. This when the "2nd generation" of KARA really begins! Honey, helped KARA finally get their first number 1 song after 3 years since debut. KARA won 4 awards for Honey and are more popular than ever! I love the photo booklet, the package is similar to their Pretty Girl mini album and it's a great collectors item. August 26, 2008 new image..but it works..
if you in take into account the unexpected departure of sunghee..
then you would see how much seungyeon, and especially nicole and gyuri have improved..
in their previous album, Sunghee took over all the notes..you could barely hear the other girls..when it came to lives..you could hear that the other 3 could hold their own as well..
anyways..in this album you could definately hear the improvements of the 3 members..
honestly..i still think the nicole, gyuri, and seungyeon have the best vocals group wise..
their voices blend together very nicely :)
the new members lack in vocals hence the one liners they get..
their songs were a shock to KARA fans especially b/c we were left in the dark..but I got used to it
and this mini album is cleary just for the summer..
looking forward to even better improvements from all of them.. :D
