Jin Yong has outdone himself, the third revised version has brought more interesting angles into the novel. The main character has become more vivid, human and realistic. In the previous editions Yuan Chengzhi lacked a personality in my opinion, now he has become a more colourful person. Albeit the most interesting character in the novel is still the Golden Snake Swordsman. The love and tragedy between Princess Changping and Yuan Chengzi is also a highlight in the third edition. It is really worthwhile this novel. Read it yourself. |
