Taiwan singer-songwriter Samuel Tai, best known for his memorable love songs like "999 Roses", has a new studio album out almost two years after his 2007 effort I'm Not Worthy. All 12 tracks (the perfect number according to Samuel) written and composed himself, the album titled "Beyond Cloud Nine" does not stay in the realm of ballads, but takes in elements of rock, folk, gospel, and traditional Chinese music. All three main cuts are selected as Taiwan version theme songs for popular Korean dramas. First plug "Position" is the ending theme song for Invisible Man Choi Jang Soo, while "Beyond Cloud Nine" and "Thirty-Three" are the opening and ending theme songs respectively for Fireworks. In addition, there is the ballad "The Idol Drama of Yours and Mine" co-performed by Samuel and Shorty Yuan.
