After a couple of weeks of waiting it finally came on a Friday. The contents are great, comes with 2 booklets, one is the instructions and the other is an information booklet that contains all the daughter's outfits, poses, facial expressions, even NPCs you're daughter will meet as well as ending artwork. All and all just the informational booklet alone is worth the $19 I paid.
Installation was easy and I had the game up and running, but to see the Chinese text, you must set you're computer's region to one of the Chinese options. But here is where things get rough. The game is much more complex then previous Princess Maker games, not only are there menus, but all through you're daughter's travels all sorts of people will ask her questions (far more then previous games). making memorizing all the options next to impossible. Chinese text hookers are nearly non-existent, and even if you found one, translating Chinese into English is fickle at best (far less reliable as Japanese to English text translators which have over a decade of development invested).
In the end, if you are looking to want to play the new Princess Maker games in all their glory and don't mind the high cost, find the Japanese copy (around $100) and you'll be very happy since it's much easier to hook and translate the text (and much more of a chance an "English patch" will be developed, just like there was for PM4). If you don't mind spending a lot of time learning the Chinese menus (or already know how to read Chinese) then defiantly get this product, it will save you a ton.Did you find this review helpful?
