i never got it...
OK i've watched this movie 3 times ... not because it was great or anything.. it's because i didnt even get the storyline ... the whole movie is made up of a complex of 15 different stories linking with each other.. and each story has that same ghost thing killing the main person ... i wish i had 2 more thumbs .. so i could direct each one downward .. sorry

Don't buy a house in japan
I have seen hundreds of horror movies and not even the "sacred" Exorcist can compare to Ju-on. You are not safe hiding under the covers anymore. This movie will have you looking over your shoulder wondering whats hiding in the shadows. Be prepaired to pay a higher electic bill for the closet light.

scary??? in what part???
I was all hyped up when people who saw this movie already said this movie is so scary and couldn't even sleep. OH MY GOD, can somebody tell me what part was that freaking scary to u all. I watched it with my bro, by the way all the lights turned off and at night, and we all agreed that it wasn't even close to being scary. The story just dragged on and on and on. my point is that it doesnt worth of ur money

SCARY STUFF!
i just finished watching the movie! so scary! itz like this. azn movies r really physcological, they play with ur midn and leave u thinking and scared 4 weeks! not like north-american movies which is what im used to since i live in Canada. but this was so damn freaky! like with the woman who is crawling on the ground! and then the bloody lady coming down the stairs with her head all twitchy! I WAS LIKE HIDING! and im a 15-year old guy! so freaky! i've been going down stairs backwards now! scary! the sound at the end is freaky! i hate that sound! but i love the song and the end during the credits! so greaT! even tho i dont understand it! hahaha =p. i want the soundtrack but i heard itz hard to get if it does exist...GREAT FILM. EXTREMELY recommended! NEED SOUNDTRACK

there's lotsa spooky scenes but wasnt frightening or scary at all!! it may be good to scare young kids or teen girls, but not for adults. its just silly to adults. and there was no ending to the movie. its all about how everyone was scared to death. totally silly!

hmmm soo saddddd
when i saw the trailer i thot hmmm this movie looks interesting but boi was i wrong. this movie is anything BUT scary!!! tho they do have some interesting elements and scenes but they were NOT scary at all!!! you could even see the poor eye-liner on the ghost boi!!! soo freakin lame. and to make matters even worst, i didnt get the ending and i showed to my friends during my Halloween get-together. NOBODY got it either. Dispite my dissapointment, i am still gonna watch the American version because i remember how much better the American Ring was compare to Ringu.

okay
i'm sorry but this movie was NOT as SCARY as it was made out to be okay. first of all the begining could've been scarier they could've, their faces could've been scarier, and some parts of the movie are just so damn unrealistic. like the part where the shadow shows up on camera, that's the most unrealistic thing and it's just not possible scientifically, unless a person is standing there then there can be a shadow. so it was a waste of my money and i didnt' even scream and i screamed while watching the sixth sense.

One Horrific Movie
First of all, Any horror film fan should know, if you're about to watch a horror film from the same producers who brought you the original classic "The Ring" (Japanese Version), then you should know, you are in for a real scare. In this movie "Ju-On:The Grudge", you get the same errie feeling when you watch this film. The story is well written for the screen and the acting is spectacular. Here is a little advice, try not to shut the lights off at night to watch the film. Beleive me, you do not want to do that. This film will leave you thinking, and rumors has it, that this movie is somewhat based on actual events in Japan. In the beggining of the movie, it might start off a little slow but once you get into the movie, the horrifying events begins. This is a critically acclaimed film and a blockbuster hit in 2003. This film is worth the time to view. Although, not the scariest of all horror films, but I give it eight stars for the horrorifying effects.
