CHEMISTRY was more of a solo than a feat with Chemistry as their voices were barely audible. They were mostly background singing and not in the forefront of the song.
"Girlfriend" feat. BoA was a catchy J-R&B song where both had good parts for the song. I've always enjoyed BoA doing R&B songs, such as her "People Say...", "Some Day One Day" and "Holiday" songs. BADA has like 10/10 vocals. Clear. Very high range. Beautiful! Her voice sounds like a strong Madonna. She knows her career inside out, this album is so off the charts in terms of butt-kicking action with her voice. I am so extremely impressed at how well she sings! Better than BoA by a huge margin.
The album itself has lots of catchy beats from the K-Dance genre. Several songs have the electronic voice synthesizer incorporated into the songs to give it a club dance feel. Teamed up with JYP Entertainment's hot new 2PM, Track #1 "Yes I'm in Love" is truly a masterpiece! I also recommend "Mad" and "Dilemma." After several replays and listening to this album, I have to commend the artist for their obvious innovative melodies. The genre of the music is more of a downtempo rock, or low key jazz. It can also be classified under Indies as well. This is the type of music you'd hear in a dark after hours cafe or a clothing store such as Anthropologie/Urban Outfitters. The kind of classy yet easy listening songs.
I recommend "Goodbye" Track#9. It is one of the few songs in the album that actually stands out beautifully with a great melodies. THe song is kind of sad, but very well made. This song in particular sounds similar to Jisun's voice in the band Loveholic. I got confused for a sec because they sounded so similar. SPELL MAGIC is a grunge metal song, similar to Dir En Grey's style of the "nu metal" genre. Fast paced and very upbeat, it is the type of song you listen to rocking your head back and forth lost in the music.
The second track, SHININ' ON, is a much slower ballad. Again, Yasu's phenomenal vocals reach highs and lows skillfully and cleanly, just like predecessors X-Japan in terms of singing feel. I highly recommend the song スローモーション (Slow Motion) Track #2 on this album. It is fast paced with metal rock guitar in the background, and very high vocals. Excellent song! The first time I listened to it, I stopped everything I did and just listened. I can't stop listening to this song!! It's completely addictive, like chocolate liquor on coffee ice cream. His singing is very passionate yet strong, melodic, and fuses with the heavy guitar riffs in the background.
I also recommend BEAUTIFUL NAME Track #10. This has a J-Pop feel, but a very sweet song about every girl having a beautiful name.
All in all, this album is phenomenal in terms of Japan's genre of Metal genius. Complete with powered guitar skills, high vocals, avex label, and astounding music melodies, it is my voted best Rock album of the 2007-08 year!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Her voice is similar to a husky black lady singing of reminiscent times in a Jazz band. Definitely down tempo, is perfect for after-hours from a high-end romantic dinner. Very relaxing music that brings back memories of the dark hawaiian ocean on a torch-lit night. If you are familiar with Los Angeles and Las Vegas, this is the type of music you hear in the open mall and in Bellagio Hotel while the water fountain is having a show.
The album itself is full of the best hits for Ann Sally.

September 20, 2008 "Niji (Rainbow) Single" J-Pop with rock beatsFormed online through college buddies in 2000, the band managed to peak at 2006 and 2007 with Oricon charts topping at #3 and #2 positions.
The single "Niji" is the theme song for J-Drama GOKUSEN 3 which is running on Nippon Television right now in June 2008.
