December 4, 2007 Unique Rock from JapanThe Elephant Kashimashi is passionate and very unique in a literal sense. They are one of those bands that are not the mainstream trendy "Rock" bands of Japan, like many of the very J-pop-ish sounding music that are at a plethora and often drains the ear due to the lack of creativity.
Their songs on this album especially are one of the best out there. It is true that they are not well known, but their music is one that should be discovered.

October 25, 2007 Plagiarism?Originality is getting harder to find in music artists these days. With the exception of this one song, "Come" by Namie Amuro, the CD is very original and melodic. Catchy!
Unfortuantely, "Come" sounds like a direct plagiarism of Korean singer Lee Jung Hyun's "Feel Me!" a song on her 2nd album with the golden eye.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Rhapsody (Japan Version)

January 2, 2007 A classic album for K-pop.Many people unaware of Kpop's history do not know of Kim Gun Mo. He is one of the pioneers of Kpop's best music, and this album contains many songs that were classic hits. It is like the "Hotel California" of American rock songs.

December 22, 2005 The best Korean drama I've ever seenThis drama is based on the true story of Dae Jang Geum, the first Korean woman to be the Royal King's physician in the 1400s of Korea's Choson Dynasty, then the time when women couldn't attain such status. I have never seen a Korean drama so good in my life - hope, courage, enduring strength, unimaginable determination and shy love . Dae Jang Geum is outstanding. For someone who is interested in Korean history and food, this is the perfect drama for them. The first half has lots of cooking shots with real korean cooking for the Royal King recipes, and the latter half is full of Korean medicine with Chinese acupuncture and herbs. Too many times I have cried in happiness and in sadness at what happened. Dae Jang Geum-fever has hit global asia and people all over the world are dressing in the traditional Korean clothing singing tunes of this drama, remembering the strong determination of this woman. I can't stop listening it, it's like a drug (ahahhahaha)! I practically listen to this walking on campus, in the dorm, eating lunch, after shower, etc. hahahahah
M-flo in Astromantic has many different genre of songs in it. Some sound very jazzy and blues-like, ASTROSEXY sounds like Daft Punk, WAY YOU MOVE sounds like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Daft Punk, THE LOVE BUG sounds like Justin Timberlake Pop, etc.
But my favorite song is MISS YOU, by Melody. I fell instantly in love with her sexy voice. I thought BoA was sexy, but she is nothing compared to melody's voice!!! Of course, this is my opinion based on other songs/artists. This being said, A SONG FOR XX isn't the right album if you aren't a die-hard ayu fan that must collect all her albums. Most of the songs are melodically slow (ballads) and maybe 2 or 3 fast paced songs. The best songs are A SONG FOR XX, DEPEND ON YOU, and YOU. Unlike all her other albums, her first album is not in the ROCK/ALTERNATIVE genre, but more of the easy listening/soft rock genre. The booklet is metallic silver and contains pictures of ayumi in weird poses that doesn't show the best of her. A truly integrated and fantastic original album from AYUMI would be "i am..." "Rainbow" and "DUTY"

Goodness! Can this female sing~ The songs are pumped with emotion and power, with a smooth, sort of sultry voice of Whitney Houston. You will not be disappointed! They are the bomb! Every single song is fantastic, kinda like ballads; definitely not alternative or rock. The ballads are really good though, so unlike the "boring softy" songs, this has an everlasting tune and heavenly voice! They have some rap, but only 2 songs. Although this is an R&B album, it's not "gangsta style" but more like soulful chinese music. These guys know how to SING! VERY WELL! If anything, this is ONE JPOP ALBUM that's worth $30 per cd. You can hear her many different styles of singing, with upbeat tunes that will leave you breathless. Her rock music (track #8) is hard core yet almost hiphop like, while her famous "nuh" or "you" in english describes a heart breaking story of love and diminshment.
