2000년 여름, 열 한살 난 유스케는 그의 친구들과 함께 숲속으로 캠핑을 가던 중 갑자기 한줄기의 강력한 광선 이 숲속 나무위로 스쳐 지나가는 것을 보게 된다. 그들은 빛이 떨어진 곳에서 동그란 금속물체를 발견한다.
유스케가 그 신비한 물체에 다가가 만지려는 순간, 갑자기 두 눈이 튀어나오며 "나는 테트라예요, 유스케를 만나러 왔어요라고 한다. 놀란 유스케는 "네가 테트라라고 ? 정말 ?"하고 되묻고 테트라를 자기집으로 데려가 어른들의 눈에 띄지 않게 옷장 속에 숨겨둔다.
유스케의 집에 있는 테트라는 그전에 보지 못했던 신비한 기술로 굉장한 기계를 만들게 되는데 이는 테트라가 현재 지구상에 존재하지 않는 고도의 과학기술로 만들어진 로보트임을 반증하는 것이었다.

Cute movie, good graphics Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I liked this movie. It gave me a sort of nostalgic feeling of youth and I thought back to the days when I played kid games and wished I had a giant fighting robot of my own I could pilot. Kids will like this film because it is their dreams that this is made of and those who were once kids will remmber what it was like to be young and things were simpler. Friends were the best and badguys were evil and always lost. Tetra's voice is done by anime voice queen Hayashibara Megumi! And she makes a brief cameo in the film as well. - C.S.
