Juvenile is a fantasy of aliens invading the earth, and a film made for the video game generation. An 11 years old kid, Bravery, finds an robot, T, who suddenly falls from the sky. This event slowly brings Bravery to series of fighting with alien invaders who wants to conquer the earth by sucking up all the water, and cloning human beings. These kids cannot beat the aliens but with only one device-- Playstation 2!

A Japanese boy, Yusuke and his classmates indulge in playing TV games. Accidentally, they meet the cute little robot, Tetra who can speak human language and recognize Yusuke. It is Tetra that brings them the unprecedented challenges!
One day, the earth is targeted for massive attack by the transformed aliens. They kidnap Yusuke’s little girlfriend, Misaki (Anne Suzuki) and her cousin Noriko (Sakai Miki)… Tetra makes use of TV game to create the super Gangelion who joins with Yusuke and the computer expert, Kansaki (Katori Shingo), to fight the aliens using PlayStation 2!

Cute movie, good graphics

I liked this movie. It gave me a sort of nostalgic feeling of youth and I thought back to the days when I played kid games and wished I had a giant fighting robot of my own I could pilot. Kids will like this film because it is their dreams that this is made of and those who were once kids will remmber what it was like to be young and things were simpler. Friends were the best and badguys were evil and always lost. Tetra's voice is done by anime voice queen Hayashibara Megumi! And she makes a brief cameo in the film as well. - C.S. |
