honestly i am not a fan of both andy lau and anita mui, yet this is a very interesting story - again by li pi hua of green snake and rouge. some of her novels are translated into different languages and can be found in some parts of europe. great acting skills though.

GREAT ACTING BY ANITA AND ANDY Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Great nuanced acting by Anita, Andy Lau, Derek Yee and Patrick Tze. Script is worthy of talents like Anita and Andy. I felt such an enormous sense of loss of Anita after watching this movie (after her demise), and also came to appreciate what a great actor Andy Lau is from this movie. MOvies like
Lee Rock I, II, Full Trottle, A Moment of Ramance, HOme in HOng Kong and As tears goes By tells me Andy is truly a great acting talent, almost in the same league as Chow Yan Fat, Anita Mui, Leslie Cheung, the two Tony Leungs.
Run and get this movie - its worth every penny. Then get Mon Armor by Anita and Tony Leong Kar Fai. True classics and showcase of hong kong talent, which sadly i didnt realize till the demise of the Leslie and Anita. I pray that Andy and the Tony Leungs will still be around as there too little talents around nowadays.

Interesting Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Although this film was made in 1990, it is a pretty interesting film as it talked about the extraordinary life of Kawashima Yoshiko(a Manchurian princess who was sent to Japan when she was young and later helped the Japanese to establish the State of Manchukuo and betrayed China during the Second World War).
