August 14, 2006 Yaaaaaaayy for BOA!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
After her "Do The Motion", "Make a Secret", and "Dakishimeru" single releases as well as her "Outgrow" album release (which is gonna be her LOWEST album release thus far), I thought that BoA's popularity was really gonna go down cuz of these "more matured" songs (even though "Do The Motion" hit #1 on the Oricon). It wasn't that I didn't like her "mature-like" songs, but her Japanese ones were basically nothing compared to her Korean songs like "Moto" and "Girls On Top" and "My Name". But eversince her "Nanairo no Ashita / Your Color" release (which hit #3 on Oricon chart), people knew that BoA was rising again. The single "KEY OF HEART", which hit #4 on Oricon, is another very poppish song after "Nanairo no Ashita". "KEY OF HEART" sorta reminds me of "Earthsong" from her "Shine We Are" single, except, TONS better. "DOTCH" is what totally brings down my rating for this single... I don't like the background music AT ALL... don't like the beat. The English version of "KEY OF HEART" was okay. I hafta admit, her English improved quite a whole lot. But as always, her voice wasn't as strong as when she sang the original version. All in all, not a bad single, even though it didn't give me a great first impression like her older singles did, this single's still pretty good. I mean, c'mon, #4 on the Oricon... YAAAAAAAAAYY FOR BOA!!

    July 19, 2006 !!- MUST see, MUST buy -!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
To be honest, I was never really a fan of 林依晨 until I've watched this drama.
My fave parts were around the beginning of the drama, when the characters were still in high school. I don't really like 鄭元暢's character, 江直樹.
I hated how he's kinda boring and always tries to act extremely cool and stuff (even though there's a reason WHY he always tries to act so cool and everything... the reason was actually pretty cute, YA'LL GOTTA WATCH IT!!).

I also didn't really like how sometimes 林依晨's character, 袁湘琴 never really had a mind of her own, and was always mostly "controlled by others."
I also didn't like how she's like pretty much half-dead half--alive when she sees her crush with someone else. But I still love this character, mainly for her kind heart and the idea of "never giving up." From this drama, you also get to see the sweet, lovely, and comfortable feeling of what it's like to be with your family.

All in all, it's a great drama, especially during the character’s high school times... there's just TOO many funny parts going on!! 江直樹's mother is WAY too cute to be true. 袁湘琴 will totally make you laugh nonstop... at her stupidity (in a good way), her "awesome" ideas, and so on. 江直樹's stern & serious character can sometimes make you laugh as well!! And those times are one of the priceless moments. This drama is MUST buy!!!!

aaahh ok don't kill me for wasting a "review" juss for this... and a lot of you prob don't really care anyway haha....but I gotta make a correction for the part where I said "this single's way better than his first single"... well "Hikari" IS his first single... so I meant it's way better than his 2nd single, which is "Style"... but his "Style" and "Start Line" singles are still pretty good ^___________^

January 24, 2006 STILL awesome. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ok so I was reading my review on this single and I realized that I've forgotten to mention how hot the song "Crazy" is. Knowing myself, I HAVE TO mention the song "Crazy" in this single. It's a Korean song and it's juss hot and crazy like the title called it. If you watch the "Crazy" music video, you'll see an even more ganster side (in a good way) of Se7en.. and he is juss hot to the maximum. The song is extremely upbeat and pretty much always "forces" you to get up from your seat and juss start dancing your heart out. They call him the "Drama King" in this song which I thought was kinda weird but w/e... this song's juss superly good. Okay ALL three songs in this single are sweet. I absolutely LOVE this single and after 3 Japanese releases, this one is STILL byfar his BEST one. I personally think his song "Crazy" is his best Korean fast song. Totally recommend this single. It's a good mix of fast, hip-hop, "cute", calm, and such... SO YES, BUY IT!!

January 17, 2006 BEST FLAME SINGLE!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
To those who juss started liking FLAME or something, this is a great single to get started on. I know it's kinda late-ish write a review on this, but I have to say, this single is clearly one of FLAME's best singles. One word: SWEET... times infinity. I love this single. At first I thought the song "Bye My Love" would be some kind of a slow song (from the title)... but instead it's a very up-to-beat song that made me like FLAME even more. Kyohei, the lead singer, did a great job in this song. It's too bad that he's not in the group anymore... but listening to this song is a good example of what a pretty good group FLAME is. Their dance moves for "Bye My Love" were okay... not that impressive (Yu and Kyohei are a lot better dancers... in my opinion at least). I love the chrous of "Bye My Love"... but at times Kyohei seems to sorta almost run out of breath a bit, making me the think that the song's tempo might be pushing his limit a bit... but Kyohei did a great job taking control of the whole thing, so I give him tons of props. This is a good single to cheer you up (music wise). I can't understand Japanese (I wish though)... so I can get into the songs even more. Another FLAME single I recommend: Mune no Kodou (their debut single). All in all... juss GET THIS SWEET ALBUM!! I promise you won't regret it =). Some of their singles weren't that great nor that impressive... but this single is DEFINITELY one of the exceptions!! ^_________^

    January 10, 2006 Not a Bad Sophomore Album ^______^ Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
First off, if you were to compare this album with her debut album "Id; Peace B," you'll realize how HARD she's been working her butt off on trying to improve her musical talent. Her voice totally matured and she was able to grab the pitches a lot easier. The song "No. 1" was like the FIRST BoA song that I listened to before I knew the existence of BoA... and it was also the first song that I've liked for a long time after listening to her other songs. I know it's kinda pretty late to write a review on this album... but I still say this is one of her best albums. No. 1 is an awesome up-to-beat song. It makes you feel "childish" (in a good way) when you listen to it (and mind ya'll, I'm only 18...). The dances are pretty cute too but I didn't really like how the camera view kept on changing like almost EVERY second in the "No.1" music video. What impresses me is that she wrote the lyrics AND composed the songs "Dear My Love..." and "Realize." The song "Dear My Love" is a beautiful slow song while "Realize" holds a faster tempo. I just didn't like how BoA raises her voice a bit for a sec at times and the lowers it back to normal in her song "Dear My Love..." but it's all good. Kang Ta, a great Korean singer and songwriter and composer, wrote the lyrics and composed the songs "Waiting" (a GORGEOUS song omg I love it!!) and the song "Beat it!" True, her music sounds pretty similar throughout her whole album... but since they're all sweet and beautiful and juss plain AWESOME, you prob wouldn't care if you listen to it repeatedly. *sigh*... If only I can understand Korean, I'd prob like this album TONS more... and the English translations sorta bring down your impression on the album SO DON'T READ THE ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS unless you really don't care... BUT YES BUY THIS ALBUM YA'LL BOA FANS!!

December 23, 2005 Still one of their BEST singles. Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I still say this is one of their best singles after all their releases these 3ish years. They may not be able to beat w-inds, but I personally think Kyohei's voice is a lot better than w-inds's Keita sometimes. And their Munenokodou music video was okay... the dance wasn't that good, not that impressive... when I first saw the video, I thought Yusuke and Hisato only got into the group because of their good looks... cuz they seemed as if they can't dance, and you can BARELY hear their voices in their song... Yu and Kyohei were a lot better dancers and Kyohei was the best singer (hence why you mostly hear his voice in this song). But yeah after knowing 'em a bit more... I was kinda wrong about Yusuke and Hisato only joinging the group cuz of their looks so DON'T KILL ME for this XD. Kinda sad that Kyohei left the group... he has the best voice in the group but oh wells. All in all, this single's awesome. Yeah it's been 2 years already but seriously, you'll still love it after these years because it seriously IS one of their best singles. I think their "BYE MY LOVE" single is the best one. They juss need to sorta um... work on their music videos a bit more...

December 12, 2005 A late review b/c it's still one of the best album Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
BoA's first Japanese single. Totally awesome. I thought the Japanese version of ID;Peace B was a whole lot better than her Korean version because her voice sounded stronger and better in her Japanese one... her voice is more beautiful in a way, which shows how hard she's been working just after her first Korean album release. The music video for the Japanese version of ID; Peace B is a whole lot better than her Korean one too... it's more creative and has more than one stuff going on. This single was a great way to introduce herself to the Japanese society. It doesn't sound as if she's trying really hard to be "fake"... like be a lot more mature than she really is... but rather more child-like and teenage-like but not a kidish song... gah I duno how to explain it... I juss think this single is great. Yes, it's not her best Japanese single, but it was a great start for BoA. I juss wish her new single "Everlasting" will be a whole lot better than her singles this year... "Make a Secret" and "Dakishimeru" weren't that good (coming from BoA, cuz she can do tons better) and didn't make that big of a hit in Japan either.

November 18, 2005 Not bad... a pretty good start. Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
For a debuit album, it's a pretty good start actually. Sure, yes, it's not perfect, but it really is a good start. And yes, the album is just another "similar" hiphop-ish music like a lot of albums out there... but some people really have no idea how hard it is to actually come up with some kind of music that's NOT similar to all those ones out there. Overall, I thought this was a pretty cute album. The girls in this group are pulling a pretty good start, although some of their vocals can be strenghthened so they would have stronger voices... but then again, strng voice doesn't really fit in with the songs they have in this album. My fave one would be the last track, which is an orginal soundtrack of Nan Ding Ge Er (can't spell luo ma pinyin...). It's a really cute music and gets you all cheery and stuff after you listen to it. In fact, most of their songs are pretty cheery-like, which is obviously a totaly plus. But I have to admit, some of their songs are kinda weird though... but in a good way. You wouldn't be wasting your money on this album, if you don't compare it to all those "older" artists out there who have been singing for a long time. No one was really that perfect at singing when they first came out, and no one really had a perfect debut album. I'm pretty sure their sophomore album will really mature and you will find a deeper fond of it. Overall, I'd put a recommendation on this album, it's a good way to "get to know 'em a little." They're a group of young goofy girls (prob cuz they work with Energy... haha...), so but this album, I promise you won't hate it THAT MUCH!

November 7, 2005 AWESOME TO THE MAXIMUM!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
For those of you whodon't really know who Se7en is, the music Hikari totally reflects his cute and playful side. I can't understand Japanese so I can't really say anything about the lyrics but the music's juss plain AWESOME. I love the beats. The song's really happy and cheery. Se7en's such a great dancer and his performances always get me to watch 'em over and over again. In my opinion, this single's way better than his first single, so maybe his future Japanese singles will be a HUGE hit in Asia. BEST OF LUCK TO SE7EN!! Gawd I love his voice.

November 6, 2005 Such disappointment... Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
S.H.E's always released one of the best albums around, but what happened to their 7th album?! The songs in there...omg it's rather sad. I thought this would be like their best album of all (hence the name "Encore")... but eeeeehh... it's the exact opposite (in my opinion at least). I don't really like any of their songs in this album... I'm pretty sure S.H.E can do 10 bajillion times better than that...seriously. Their song "Xin Guang" from their new drama is like tons better than this whole 7th album. Well, the album pics are nice...

October 4, 2005 Matured BoA vs. Younger BoA Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
First off, you absolutely CANNOT compare this album to all her previous albums. True, a lot of people last year were "surprised" by her "My Name" album cuz it was "different" than all her previous ones...but like what a lot of people had already said here, people change, whether you like it or not.
You can't expect BoA to stay at those moments like "No.1" or whatever...those are the songs that suited her when she was YOUNGER. And whoa look, she's older now, at the age 18...and if she were to still release songs similar to No.1 or something, that'd be kinda funny cuz those songs don't fit her AGE. That's like saying a super old person (not saying Boa is old, mind you) who released an album full of children songs like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" or whatever...and No, I'm not saying No.1 was a kiddish song.
Hopefully ya'll get my point here. As for my opinion on her new style, I have my likes and dislikes. Of course it'd be awesome if she sang more of those songs like her old ones, but her new songs are good too. Her voice is still one of the best. I love her new hair. It's awesome. Totally revealing the matured Boa (NOT saying she looked immature before...she was CUTE before).
MOTO: great song. Same with GIRLS ON TOP. Moto's better though (in my opinion).
