After a short artistic hiatus that followed the post activities of his vol.2 album Growing Up, KCM is back with an all-new CD.
His latest work is called Love Affair and saw him co-operating with an ensemble of talents. KCM teamed-up with such composers as Min Myeong Ki (who earlier composed his song "9 Hopes Im Telling You About"), Kim Kun Woo (that came up with the melody of MC Mung's "I Love U oh Thank You"), and Shin In Soo (the composer of Fly To The Sky's "Even Though My Heart Hurts") among other potential contributors. Love Affair offers overall 15 songs that once again come marked with KCM's romantic touch and of course his beautiful alto voice. Presenting his usual professional sound with the aim to also offer space for improvement, KCM's latest works including "Today 1 Year Ago" (Track 4), "Shadow" (Track 10), and "Still Love You" (Track 11) among other highlights promise to please music lovers. Finally of course it's up to KCM's devotees to decide whether his latest shower of R&B, dance and hip-hop rhythms is able to make the grade.

작년 11월 2집 ‘Growing up’의 활동을 접고 휴식기에 들어간 KCM의 3집 ‘Love Affair’이 출시된다.
이번 kcm 3집 앨범 “Love Affair”에서는 한국 가요계를 중축을 이루고 있는 스타 뮤지션들이 대거 참여하였다. 그동안 1집의 ‘흑백사진’, 2집의 ‘Smile Again’등 KCM의 앨범마다 함께 작업을 해왔던 조영수가 이번 앨범에서서도 메인 프로듀서로서 맡고 미디엄템포 속의 경쾌한 리듬과 KCM만의 독특한 고음에 미성의 보이스가 하모니를 이루며 또 하나의 대표적인 KCM-조영수표의 타이틀 곡을 선보일 예정이다. 이 밖에도 가비엔제이의 “Happiness”, 2집의 “너에게 전하는 아홉가지 바램”의 작곡가 민명기, MC몽의 “I love U oh Thank U”의 작곡가 김건우, 플라이투더 스카이의 “가슴아파도”의 작곡가 신인수, 휘성,거미 노래의 작곡가 김도훈, 그 밖에 한상원 등 우리나라 최고의 작곡가와 버즈의 “사랑은 가슴이 시킨다”의 작사가 최갑원, 엠투엠의 “세글자”의 작사가 강은경, 외에 윤사라, 안영민 등의 최고의 작사가들이 참여하였다.
KCM은 “사랑하는 모습도 방법도 각각 다르지만 어떤 사랑도 모두 소중하다는 생각을 담으며 세상의 모든 연인, 시작하는 연인들을 위해 3집 앨범 타이틀을 “Love Affair”로 정했다. 또한 그간의 R&B 장르에서 탈피, 새로운 음악장르를 시도하여 15곡 안에 사랑의 각각의 모습을 담았다”고 설명했다. 또한 그는 “이번앨범은 “Continue But Challenge”라고 볼 수 있는데 1,2집에서도 보여주지 않았던 댄스곡, 힙합등의 새로운 음악장르에 도전하였다. 하지만 2집에서 많은 사랑을 받았던 “너에게 전하는 아홉가지 바램”의 또 다른 버전인 “하루,열흘, 한달 그리고 일년’, “내가 사랑하나 열두가지 버릇” 등의 노래도 들어있어서 그간의 앨범과 연결고리를 가지고 있다”며 3집 앨범에 애정을 과시하였다. KCM은 2월 1일 쇼케이스를 통해 3집 앨범“Love Affair” 활동에 첫 스타트를 끊으며 본격적인 3집 활동에 들어간다.

He's done it again...
| KCM; Korean Contemporary Music. Excellent album and a must-buy. If you liked his earlier music, much of it can be found on this album along with a dash of new, tasty flavor. The first track alone grasps your attention and the grip only gets tighter through the album. He finishes his tribute to Eun Young and leads into the beautifully composed ballad-rap track "ONE&Only." The album mixes it up so you won't get bored. In the end, your ears deserve to listen to "Love Affair." Buy it. Seriously. |
