Shane Black, the creator of Lethal Weapon and The Last Boy Scout makes his long-awaited directorial debut with the fast-paced, smart-mouthed action noir, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Robert Downey Jr. (Good Night, and Good Luck, Wonder Boys) is on top form as small-time crook Harry Lockhart, who through a bizarre chain of events finds himself in Hollywood, readying himself for a film role as a private detective. In order to fully research the role he is paired up with real private dick "Gay" Perry (Val Kilmer - Heat, Batman Forever), and within minutes the quickfire banter begins.

Before long, Harry and Perry find themselves caught up in all kinds of trouble, after witnessing a murder during a stakeout, only to be spotted by the assassins. And that is just the beginning of Harry's troubles. He bumps into his old High School dream girl Harmony (Michelle Monaghan - Mission: Impossible III), who is in a World of trouble herself, and before long Harry is up to his neck in it, and surrounded by corpses, gangsters, producers, models, guns, more corpses and even severed fingers.

Black directs with an assured hand, producing a fun-packed romp through Hollywood, as seen by someone who has been there and seen it all. His talent for quickfire banter and sharp, acidic dialogue is on full display in this highly entertaining adventure.
