Illustrated guide to knitting stitches
| This book has 104 pgs and is lavishly illustrated throughout. There are instructions for around 50 knitting stitches. I find that the illustrations, diagrams and symbols help makes sense of knitting patterns found in Japanese books. The illustrations/diagrams are in two or three colour tones. The photos are in single colour i.e. no full colour photos.The book does go beyond the basics of knitting: there are sections on different methods of joining pieces together, shaping of collar, edges, etc., methods of using different coloured yarn, and so on. Visual knitters will find this book useful although absolute beginners and people who can't read Japanese may find it challenging. Personally I find this book useful and I'm glad I bought it. |
