Amazing!

Tsukiko Amano is likely the single most amazing female vocalist I've ever heard, and "Koe" is perfectly suited to her voice. I have to disagree whole-heartedly with the review by Tsuki-kun. Not a single note in this song was off-key, as one would expect from any studio recording. Koe was my favorite of the two tracks, as Tsukiko Amano's voice is so perfectly suited to dark ballads. The lyrics beautifully convey the despair of a lover left behind, and even for those who can't understand them, the feeling is conveyed well in the music itself. A background of modern dark rock blended with epic string instruments, and Tsukiko's amazing transitions into falsetto. It's been one of my favorite songs since I first heard it quite a while ago, and I never get tired of listening to it. Moe on the other hand is not my favorite of Tsukiko's songs, but definately worth a listen. It's more upbeat, as other reviews have mentioned, so it gives a good example of the varied sort of songs she releases. If only for Koe, I'd call this single a must own, and I definately encourage you to check out some of her other releases. |

Amano's newest single, Koe (that can also be found in Rei 3/~shisei no koe~) is great. What I found odd was that I enjoyed Moe a little more than Koe. Koe (Voice)- A great song. The lyrics are really heavy. This track has a unique blend of rock and ballad. The one flaw is that when Amano began at the beginning of the last chorus ("Noburu, noburu, taiyou ga.. Watashi wo basho no jouka suru..."), she was a bit off-key. Of course, this minor flaw was overshadowed by the superiority of the previous vocals. Moe (Infatuation)- I loved this track. This track is a parody of Koe. Moe is an upbeat track. The only thing is that the lyrics don't hit as hard as Koe's... Personally, I loved the transitions between phrases in the song. Overall Rating of 'Koe' by Tsukiko Amano- Overall, a great single. It is worth buying. The pros outweigh the cons greatly. I would suggest this single to any fan of Amano who hasn't already purchased the CD. For newcomers, I would suggest buying the single along with one of Amano's older albums such as 'Sharon Stones'. |

Beautiful.
Beautiful.
| Beautiful. What else is there to say? "Koe" showed me that there could be another Japanese singer that could give Utada Hikaru a run for her money as far as talent, and that person is Tsukiko Amano. If you don't have this, get it. You will DEFINITELY not be disappointed. |

| Although I don't understand the Japanese lyrics to this song, it is still one of the rock song with great music I've listened. This song's music is very dynamic--having its fast and slow beats flowing together. Tsukiko Amano is a great artsit and definately deserve more attention and attention in the j-rock world. I recommend this single to any j-rock fans out there because I'm sure that they will like it. |
