Billed as China's first sci-fi film, Kungfu Cyborg: Metallic Attraction actually squeezes many more genres into its loaded storyline. It's also a martial arts actioner, a buddy cop comedy, a romantic comedy, a melodrama, and a special effects robot fight-off! The latest from director Jeff Lau, who showed he could mesh genres like no other in the Stephen Chow classic A Chinese Odyssey, Kungfu Cyborg is set in a near future where state-of-the-art robots have been developed by the government, but one particular robot decides to challenge the authority of its creators.

Leads Alex Fong Lik Sun and Betty Sun, in her singing debut, team up for the ballad duet and film insert song "Memory" (Track 2). Ronald Cheng, who has a comedic supporting role in Kungfu Cyborg, sings the theme song "Give Me a Role" (Track 1). Kungfu Cyborg: Metallic Attraction OST also includes Paisley Hu's "The Moon Represents My Heart" (Track 6) and two numbers from Fong and Cheng's Gold Typhoon labelmate Justin Lo.
