『金色のコルダ2f ＜フォルテ>』（PlayStation Portable版、2009年2月26日発売、以下『2f』）から登場した新たな恋愛対象キャラクター、「衛藤桐也＜えとうきりや＞」が引き続き本作でも恋愛対象として登場します。

新規イベント、イベントスチルを追加
本作では、衛藤桐也の２ルート分の恋愛イベントに加えて、合宿イベントや放課後デートイベント、後日談を描いたスペシャルイベントなどの魅力的なイベントを約70本追加。また、スチルは20枚以上と大幅追加になっています。

あらすじ
３学期に入ってまもなく、主人公は星奏学院の理事長・吉羅暁彦から、予期せぬ依頼を受ける。市の
音楽祭で学院の生徒によるオーケストラ演奏を行うことになったので、コンミスを務めてもらいたいというのだ。だが、オーケストラの指揮者として紹介された女性は、主人公がコンミスとしてふさわしいかどうか試したいと、さまざまな課題をこなすように要求してきた。主人公は、協力を申し出てくれた仲間たちとともに指揮者の出す課題に挑むことに。音楽に満ちた日々が、再びはじまる――。

※「コンミス」とは「コンサートミストレス」の略で、第１ヴァイオリンの首席奏者でオーケストラの演奏を取りまとめる役。
男性の場合はコンマス（コンサートマスター）と呼ばれる。
