奧斯卡和安德魯的戀愛故事更是令人感動，貴族與僕人身份間的差異，使安德魯將愛意埋藏心底，默默地扮演影子的角色，無時無刻地守護奧斯卡，甚至犧牲生命也在所不惜。但在動盪的大時代無奈地受到命運捉弄，雖然最後有情人終成眷屬，卻為時己晚……
