January 6, 2007 Great Live Album Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Yet another concert tour by the trio.
And once again, they've proved that they are not just another pop idol group who can't sing.
And with this album, they can seal the mouths of people who know them as a pop idol group!

Great live performance by the three girls.
The first four tracks are enough to get you into the mood of the concert!

And all three showed their own talents and maybe some hidden ones.
With Hebe as the most unexpected performance on the drums.

Solo songs by them are just as great.
All three girls picked suitable songs for themselves.
Selina's rendition of Cheer's 'Hai Shi Hui Ji Mo' added a little sweetness to the song.
Ella's deep and low voice can never be more suitable for a Karen Mok number.
And as the group's recognised best vocalist, Hebe stunned yet again with a Robbie Williams song.

This round of concert tour, the girls have different special segment for people in different regions.
In Hongkong, they sang a cantonese song - Beyond's Qing Ren.
It was a good rendition by them in their very own style.

And comparing Qi Huan Le Yuan, this time round the concert album is very well-produced.
The girls voices are so much clearer this time round.
Maybe it's got to do with the fact that this show is indoor.

With this concert album, I'm really looking forward to their performance in Singapore in three weeks time! :)

January 6, 2007 Worth the 1087 Days of Wait!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
    Once again, Elva never disappoint!
This album is great with a good number of upbeat songs.
Like what Elva promised, she wants to Have Fun with this album and similiarly, spread it to her fans.

Biao Bai was a good start to the album.
I personally feel that this is a rather dangerous song as one might sound monotonous singing it.
But with Elva's singing techniques, she did not sound monotonous and did a good job with it!

The Lee Hom penned 'Honey Honey Honey' brought out the cheery side of Elva.
Lee Hom is really one genius and the collaboration between them is just wonderful!
Especially like the beats in this song, you'll just move to it very naturally.

Another song to look out for i LoVe.
Very interesting lyrics and it reflects how girls are more than just being material.
"What you see is what you get, LOVE with respect"
I believe everyone who've listened to this album will get stucked to this phrase :p

I always look forward to the musical arrangements in Elva's album.
And once again, i'm listening to this album again and again with its fantastic musical arrangements.

Something to note is that, Elva really improve a lot in her vocals!
Bu Yuan is one track that presents her vocals wonderfully.
She brought out the song so effortlessly nice.

All in all, this is really one good album.
It'll easily make it to my Top 10 Album for 2006.
And what a good way to end the year with such a great album!

With more and more newbies flooding the industry, good singers like Elva are hard to come by.
There's been way too much bad things that descended upon Elva.
Hopefully, she'll get out of all the bad luck and may everything goes well for hardworking and talented Elva! :)

    September 27, 2006 I'm listening to Penny.. Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Have been listening to Penny since her first album.
Penny has all along been a singer songwriter who's true to herself.
And in this album, she's shown us that she's happy doing just that.

Even after clinching "Best Composer" in last year's Golden Melody Awards,
Penny did not go on to produce another experimental album like [Crazy in Love]
just for the sake of clinching more awards. Instead in [iPenny], she adopted a
simpler style which is close to her own nature as mentioned by her.

Have always like Penny's easy-to-understand lyrics.
She's proved that you don't need out of the world words or unimaginable
    sceneries to write good songs/lyrics.

Remarkable strong album concept for iPenny.
All the tracks in the album have sub-title which begins with "I'm ..."

In this album, Penny tried the musical arrangement for one song,
"Gua Zai Ban Meng Ban Xing Zhi Jian" (At A Drowsy Moment).
An A-grade attempt for a first try.
She's given the song a cheeky child-like feel.

This album might not be one that will catch on to your ears
at first listening but listen to it a few more times and
i'm sure you'll be hooked on it, like how i am hooked to it.

Notable tracks in this album are:
"Yi Ge Ren De Xing Li" (Travel Alone)
"Dan Shen Qian Tao" (Run Away)
"Ze Ou Tiao Jian" (My Mr Right)

July 25, 2006 Not the Best.. Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Not the best of the gals i would say.
The new songs aren't really worthy of any mention.
Even Jay Chou's composition is not a A grade song. His past compositions for them were much better.
Look out for the DVD though, the Super Model dance teaching is yet another funny entertaining work from them.
The other consolation will probably be that HIM has very smartly put in songs which were not in their record albums previously which makes this a good buy.
Though so, i think S.H.E still has got a lot to show.
The rapport & strong friendship they built up these 5yrs have shown that they are not one group which will split up due to differences in opinion.
Hebe, the one who apparently have more ideas amongst them, have finally put her mind to song-writing.
It's a pity HIM did not use her lyrics for Chu Dian. But, let's hope we'll get a better album from them after their world tour!

July 24, 2006 Booming Cherries Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I've always been wondering why there
isn't a record company who wants to sign / train
a girl band. And finally... Cherry Boom!

Very rare indeed to see a true blue girl band.
First caught Cherry Boom on their title
track MV - 親愛的王子 (Dear Prince).
It's hard not to notice them cos of the morbidly
arranged song and the image they adopted in the MV.
They remind me of Emily the Strange. Morbid!

After listening to their songs, i gotta say that
they are not a crap band trying to capture
the market by coming up with the girl band gimmick.

They composed about six songs in their album and
there are already some worthy tracks in their
    debut album.

    I personally like - 蝕月 (Lunar Eclipse)﹐
再見我的愛 (Goodbye My Love)﹐ 秘密花園 (Secret Garden)

Since they are a rock band also, there are bound
to be comparison with other bands.
    我的空氣 reminds me of F.I.R。

Of cos packaging still plays a part and by not
putting them in the cutesy pie image, it's
really make or break for the record company.

If they make, i'll be looking forward to their next album.
If they break, it's yet another loss for the music scene...
