Uncut Version

Can anybody tell whether this DVD series is 'Cut' or 'Uncut' Version? I don't wish to be dissapointed again after watching 'Return of the Condor Heroes' featured by Andy Lau and Idy Chen. Seems like the so called 'Uncut' version still have some cut portion. |

I haven't finished the DVDs yet, but here's my review on what I've noticed so far. The DVDs are 3 plastic cases in a thin box set. There are 5 disks in each case. Not the best quality because mine arrived with the holders broken, so the DVDs were just loose in the box. Picture quality is great. The Main Menu is in Chinese which is bad if you can't read Chinese. Chapters are separated and you are taken back to the main menu to access the next chapter (not continuous) but you can hit Next Chapter on your remote. The audio does get loud at times and soft at others. Subtitles are white with black border - so easy to read. It disappears pretty quickly sometimes. Doesn't appear edited, but I haven't seen the VHS in over 15 years, so I can't really tell. The DVD includes the Making Of feature and an extra disk that I haven't viewed yet (looks like an advertisment). |
