Ok well, maybe there were times in the drama when her acting seemed kinda "fake" and lacking, much of it was when her character was happy, but definitely NOT when she cries! KHS has 1 of the BEST crying skills I've ever seen! And I do think it's abit too extreme when people say KHS shouldn't be in this drama, she still did a pretty good job, especially her crying skills! June 18, 2007 Great!I love this drama! it's really funny and comedic, but it also has his very touching moment, specially in the later episodes. I love Show's character the most! Although Barbie's character in the beginning was really snobbish and irritating, but I can't blame her since she plays a rich spoiled brat in this drama, but her character improves later on. The story is very sweet, although some of the scenes were exaggerated, but it's still fun to watch. And I think Show and Barbie have great chemistry! I actually think Barbie matches with Show alot more than Vic Chou!

This is actually based on a manga, and then an anime version was also released after this series...this talks about a really courageous and righteous teacher 'Yankumi' (Nakama Yukie) who ends up teaching a class of delinquents, but a determined Yankumi willing to help all her students in every way possible, she also helps with their personal problems as well, eventually she earned the respect from her students, especially 'Shin' (Matsumoto Jun) who is the class leader; he is very smart unlike the other students, he ended up in the 3-D class because he bashed a teacher in his old school to protect his friend. At the end, Shin falls in love with yankumi.
This is a truly inspiring series, it teaches us valuable lessons about how to stand up for yourself when you are bullied, how to face the world when the going gets tough, and the difference between right and wrong. If I was a delinquent, I would most certainly learn alot from this series. There is also some comedy as well, so it's good to watch if you want a laugh. So I strongly recommend this series to anyone!
My only disappointment is that Shin and Yankumi were not together at the end =( They were a couple in the manga and anime though...but they're still very cute together in the series version! I give this 2 thumbs up!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

August 15, 2006 Excellent! Highly recommended!I have to say that I was amazed by Vicki's acting in this drama! And I'm not only saying this because I'm her fan, I truly feel that Vicki's acting was superb! She really brought out the character 'Yao Mulan' to life! Even though I have not watched the old version, so I can't comment on who's portrayal of the character was better...however, it was reported that about 80% of the audiences prefered Vicki's version over Gigi Zhao's, that's the vast majority! So that certainly explains alot about Vicki's performance doesn't it? It was also this role that brought her the nomination for 'Best Actress' at this year's China awards...though she didn't win, but at least she was nominated!
As for the drama itself, it was very deep, powerful, and as well as very meaningful.. Since I didn't watch the older version, I can't compare it to this one...however I've heard that they have changed many things around for the story in this new version, and some people have complained that this was not as deep and touching as the old one. However the old version seems like it is mainly for older audiences...people need to understand that Vicki is in the new version, she has fans of all ages, so the producers of this new version are trying to target audiences of all ages, so they can't make this drama too deep and complicated, otherwise it'll just be too difficult for the younger audiences to understand. And it seems like all the hard work has paid off, because this drama had very high ratings in the mainland, it even beat the very popular korean drama 'Jewel in the palace'! And this drama itself has also won numerous awards! So with this sort of results, how can you give this a pass? So I highly recommend this!

June 28, 2006 VANNESS!!!!I bought this album just yesterday in chinatown! Gosh! The songs are sooooooo good! 'Scandal' is such a cool song, and Vanness rapping is excellent! I love '127 days' and 'One step', they're slow songs with great tempos and good lyrics! And of course the song 'good Vibration' is great too! Although the types of music they use are not new, but the songs are still very catchy, listening to 'scandal' and 'good vibration' just makes u want to just get up and dance because they're just so funky! I love all the songs! I was surprised by Kangta's mandarin; very good, I was especially shocked by Vanness korean! Even though I can't understand the language, but I think Vanness was excellent at the language!
True that to females, these hot guys may just be eye candy, but that just reflects their performances and image...these 2 guys are hot (especially Vanness!), has the looks, voice and the dancing skills to impress! What more can u ask for? These guys are so very popular now and their album is very well received, that just goes to show how great they are and how many people love them! I think V and KT are one of the greatest duos ever formed! They both have excellent dancing and singing skills; their vocals really compliment each other! I love them! Especially Vanness! June 7, 2006 Abit of correction!Sorry, just wanted to correct the mistake I made in my review below; I was meant to state that track 7 was too kiddish for my liking, NOT track 8! I really didn't enjoy track 6 and 7; I'm not really into kiddish songs. I really love track 8, it's not a kiddish song, it's a slow love song, with simple lyrics which are easily understood. The lyrics in the songs on this album are not very hard to understand, which is great because it can be understood by all ages, while some of the lyrics in her pevious album 'Ai Mei' were too complicated, younger listeners may not have understood. Which is another great thing about this album; many of the songs are slow love songs, but with lyrics that are easy to understand without making it sound kiddish.
Another thing is, cuteness has become Rainie's trademark now, either it being her acting cute, or singing kiddish songs; it's still part of her image now, so there are bound to be some poppy kiddish songs in her albums.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

When I posted up my review previously, I had only just started listening to the album, so I wasn't familiar with those songs, because my head was still full of her songs from her 'Ai Mei' album. But now I've been listening to these songs for quite a while and I must say that I'm totally into them! Now my head is full of songs from this album! I've even went out to buy the actual album! =D
I guess what the delimma about this is that people were all still used to the songs on Rainie's previous album, these songs were fairly new to our ears, so we may not enjoy them at first...but once you have listened to them for a while, you will gradually get use to these songs and most likely fall in love with them, I certainly did! I love most of the songs on this album, especially tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 (which are most of the songs!). Who said Rainie's songs are too kiddish? Rubbish! There were only a few fast poppy songs on this album...but even the lyrics of those songs are NOT that kiddish! However I have to agree that track 8 really is just TOO kiddish for my liking. But all the other songs are great! I liked 'Ai Mei', but there were quite a few songs on that album which I did not thoroughly enjoy...while on this album, I love ALL the songs (except track 7 and 8)! So overall, I'll have to say that I love this album ALOT more than 'Ai Mei'!

April 21, 2006 Excellent!I love this drama! It's sooooo much better than WZBQW in my opinion! The characters in here are alot better than the characters in WZBQW, and 183 Club has improved alot in their acting, and the casting of Qiao Qiao is a huge bonus for me cuz I am a big fan of hers!
There is a mistake in the casting list though, above in the cast list, it says 'Bei Ruo Yi' acted as 'Zheng Zhi Qiao', but it is suppose to be the other way around; 'Zheng Zhi Qiao' is the actress name, and 'Bei Ruo Yi' is the name of the character in the drama. As for terms of horror, well, there isn't really anything to be scared about, the horror within this movie is very weak, to horror movie goers, this will probably be considered 'lame'...but to the people who never watch horror movies, then this would probably be scary enough for u.

April 9, 2006 Not scary at all!Personally, in terms of horror, this movie gets 0, because it doesn't have any scary qualities whatsoever! It was quite boring most of the time, I mean, what's so scary about a scarecrow? At the end, it turns into a ghost girl, so what? The ghost wasn't even scary looking! She looks like a normal girl, and the actress who played that ghost is actually very pretty.

I was never really a big fan of HK horror movies, because I've seen many of them previously, but they were just not as scary as all those great horror flicks from Japan. But this is a really old HK one, it was released back in 1999, and it's still stuck in my head! What makes this movie so terrifying is the ghost! Honestly, she is the most horrifying looking ghost ever! I sometimes have nightmares about her face! And the sound she makes really spooks u out! I have to admit that after watching this one, I'm starting to wonder if HK is losing it's horror touch; because this one is just so bone-chilling, it certainly beats many of the ones from Japan! But all the HK horror flicks which were made after this one (which I watched) are just average and sometimes they do spook u abit from time to time, but nothing to actually give u chills.

Of course this is just my opinion, I've seen many bone-chilling horror flicks which leave u terrified for months! So that's probably the reason why I wasn't spooked by this one. However, if u have never watched any horror movies, or if u have watched a few but u get spooked easily, then this would probably be scary enough for u to wet ur pants. February 18, 2006 Excellent!I just love this soundtrack! It's one of the best! Most of the songs are great, this soundtrack actually has a latin taste to it, with many of the songs having a latin theme bg music. I especially love the songs 'Magic Room', 'Bomba Bomba' and 'A date so sweet'...however my absolute fav song on this soundtrack is 'Affective Line'; it's a slow love song with great tempo and touching lyrics. 183 Club are great singers and they have very convincing acting skills as well, these 5 guys certain;y have potential!

October 28, 2005 so soI know that some ayumi fans might be upset, but personally to me, this single has no originality whatsoever. The pv of 'alterna', although, is a great song, but the pv reminded me an awful lot of madonna for some reason...I remember watching an old pv of mandonna's and it was strikingly similar to the pv of 'alterna'. In this single, I still prefer 'fairyland', because it is a really catchy song with good beats, and the pv is just wonderful, I feel they have really chosen the right location to shoot that pv...but again, I don't see any originality in it either, because it reminded me of britney spears back in 2001.

September 16, 2005 Amazing Rainie!I've always thought she had a great voice, but sadly when she was still part of the group '4 In Love' she did not have the chance to express her singing talents to her full extent, but now she has finally released her own solo album therefore she has finally showed her full potential as a singer! Her voice is just amazing! Sweet and angelic on high notes, and deep and strong on low notes; she definitaly is one of the best singers I have ever heard so far! No wonder this album is such a huge hit!

September 16, 2005 Excellent!OMG! This drama is the BEST I've seen so far! Rainie is so much cuter than she was in MG, and her acting has improved alot! Her new album is a huge hit, which is no surprise since her vocals are superb! I love Mike He as well! He did so well in this drama, and to think that he is a new-comer to showbiz (he started of as a model), I was so surprised by his acting! And not to mention he is so H.O.T and GORGEOUS! He and Rainie make such a cute couple! The other casts were great also, they fit their characters really well, the storyline is so much better than the manga, and all the songs are fantastic, especially since most of them were sung by Rainie! Everything about this drama is great! The only downside for me is that it's too short! Only 14 eps! I wish it was abit longer...but anyhow, this drama is a MUST WATCH!! And also to the people out there who think this drama is crap, well then, explain WHY are the ratings so good? It clearly shows that this drama certainly is interesting and appeal to many people, younger viewers especially; alot even feel this is alot better than MG!
