Following the critical success of her audiophile album [ting] at the end of 2008, Canto-pop singer Bondy Chiu has come up with a follow-up released in September 2009, this time covering 10 famous Mando-pop numbers. Listen & Listen Hok-E is billed as the first Mandarin HQCD pressed in Japan, and the entire album is notably recorded in a single take with top-notch equipment. Songs covered include Michael Wong's "Fairy Tale", Ouyang Fei Fei's "Passionate Desert", Wong Chong Kwan's "How Much Love Can Come Again", Aaron Kwok's "Should I Quietly Walk Away", and Nicholas Teo's "Whom Will You Think of When You are Lonely".

I bought this deluxe package with a lot of hesitation since the songs are all cover from other singers.. and I am a big supporter of original singer.... I don't believe another singer can resing the song as good as the first.. However, Hok E has totally changed the melody with this CD again just like the first.. It is a calm... peaceful music with good sound....I have to say... this is a cd that must have for those who love her voice.. even though no new song... but at least I can listen to Hok E's vocal...... the cover and pic are nice as well.. stylus, simple, elegant Hok E.. Great job.. |
