沉香和父親劉彥昌生活在一個小鎮上。一日，沉香忽然發現自己具有“法力”，能夠穿墻而過，沉香的法力引來了二郎 神和哮天犬。原來當年沉香的母親三聖母違反了天條和父親結合，現在已不知去向，而破壞這個婚姻的正是他舅舅二郎神。沉香決心救母，在尋母路上，他遇到了小狐狸精小玉、東海龍王的八太子和從小與沉香指腹為婚的富家小姐丁香，四人結伴而行。三聖母把寶蓮燈的口訣告訴了沉香，但是寶蓮燈必須依靠仁慈的力量才能駕馭，而且吞下寶蓮燈的燈芯，立刻就會擁有萬年法力……可惜寶蓮燈被二郎神奪去，沉香於是決定拜鬥戰聖佛孫悟空為師，二郎神卻用寶蓮燈制服悟空，騙取沉香放棄神的法力。沉香於是重新練就武功救出悟空，並打上靈霄寶殿，提出修改天規……

Excellent...
| Wow, I was blown away by this drama! I honestly didn't think I was going to like this drama, but once I started watching it, I was glue to the television. All actors protrayed their characters very good and I was impress. The unexpected ending was, well, I'll leave it for the rest to find out. |
