March 20, 2007 Totally Epik...I first became a fan of Epik High after hearing them on Rain's song 'My Groove' then buying their previous album, 'Swan Songs'. The latter album absolutely amazed me - I knew that this band were the best group I had heard in such a long time.
Now, after being thoroughly excited with this new album, I must say that this is the best album of 2007 for me. What I love about Epik High, and this album, is that EVERY single track has been a result of hard-work which for me, is the sign of great musicianship. Even though on some tracks and with some lyrics you can tell they have been slightly influenced by American hiphop, I don't think you can exactly say they are "nothing new". Every track on this album is nothing like American hiphop. For a start it actually means something. Whereas the majority of US rap is about guns, violence, girls/men, and slamming your diamonds in front of your "enemies". This is another reason why I love Epik High - they actually write decent stuff and put points across about real issues.

I first heard Jisun from Loveholic feature on Epik High's album and her beautiful, unique vocals took over the song and stuck in my mind.
Nice Dream, possibly one of the best albums I have heard was my first proper taste of Loveholic. I was not disappointed. And this album, 'Re-wind' again does not disappoint. The opening track is definitely unique, and unlike anything you would hear on the mainstream market.
Each song is beautiful in it's own way which I think makes Loveholic my favourite band EVER. They have such a vision for musicianship. The only think I disliked about this album was that it was only 11 tracks!! :( I want more!!!!
Buy this if you want a taste of Korean soft-rock but you have got to have this album if you want to be introduced to one of Koreas most successful bands.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)

November 3, 2006 She Is A Fantastic GirlSince I've been listening to Korean music I have never been disappointed: Se7en, Epik High, Lee Hyo-Lee, TBNY, Loveholic, Rain, Lee Soo-Young and ClazZiquai, have all really shown how decent the Korean music industry really is.
And now here's Lee Jung-Hyun to REALLY make British and American cotemporary music look dreadful.
The great thing about this album is that, from the first track, you can instantly tell that she has worked so hard on every single track. And that's what I think makes a good singer. Another great thing about this album is that the musicians and composers have created some outstanding beats and rhymes. They really stand out and bring the best out of Lee's voice (which is amazing because of her vocal range and she sings in tune!).
I won't go through every track because of course you must listen to it for yourselves - you won't be disappointed. Every track has a 'fresh' attribute and combines a few different genres of music to really create something unique. I do love every trakc and they are pretty catchy, but my favourites have to be Track 12 and Track 4 - they are REALLY different to what's around at the moment. Lee's songs range between dance, hiphop, r'n'b and electro-pop, so you can see she has a real thing for uniqueness!
I swear, buy this album and you won't be disappointed. This isn't just one of the best albums of the year, it's one of the best albums, EVER.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Yes, not just one of the best Japanese films, one of the best films EVER. The style is sensational and the acting is terrific - it's just such a unique film which makes it that little bit more special.
HOWEVER, in the description of the film, it says that you get a special booklet...I didnt. The only things I got were an average/normal package, the disc and the scene list. That disappointed me greatly as I love to read about films.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

However, she doesn't do the same with this album. To be honest, I am not that impressed and I only like a few songs. However, the songs that I do like are amazing and I can't stop listening to them. She is still stuck with the dance/trance style, and I personally think she should get out of this because she's done it with her past 2 albums.

June 6, 2006 Bold & Delicious? DEFINITELY!This is the best album I have EVER heard. Seriously, Ayumi has done it again. To be honest, I had only listened to a few tracks of hers and only owned 'My Story' (which I must say, is also an outstanding piece of work) but as soon as I pre-ordered this album, received it, and then played it oh-so loud on my stereo, I was gobsmacked at how better Ayumi had become since 'My Story'.
I think the greatest thing about this album, and which makes it stand out from any other J-Pop album, is the fact that she doesn't belong to just one genre/type of music. This album ranges from pure J-Pop (e.g. 'Fairyland', 'Step YOU', 'Bold & Delicious') to J-Rock (e.g. 'is this LOVE?', 'Alterna'), electro-pop ('Ladie's Night') to smooth and beautiful ballads (e.g. 'Criminal', 'Heaven').
Another reason why I think this album is fantastic is that it is worth your money. Ayumi again has worked sooo hard to create this brilliant album and has given us 16 amazing tracks aswell as a photo album! :)
I love EVERY track on this album because they're so unique, catchy and just...well...brilliant!! It's a shame she doesn't get recognised in England but she DEFINITELY is the ultimate Queen of JPOP!! She just keeps getting better and better and every song she creates, shows her passion for her talent!

As soon as the first track thumped through my stereo speakers, i was amazed at how fresh, catchy and vocally talented Lee is. I think she is one singer to watch out for!!
I am a massive and rare English fan of anything Japanese and Korean and i was looking for albums that looked good, and which would introduce me to the Kpop/Jpop scene...this korean album has definitely interested me more...
The only flaw, not even worth thinking about though, is that there are only 14 tracks...she is amazing and i would have liked a lot more tracks...like ayumi hamasaki's album "(miss) understood", another brilliant albumDid you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

As soo as i heard the opening i knew it would be a fab album...and i'm very pleased to say that i was right! IT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
on every song you can tell they have worked hard on it, which is an excellent sign of pure musicianship :D
i'm not being totally 'lovable' for this album, i like every track! But my favourites have to be:
Fly
Paris
Let it Rain
simply because they could be huge if they wanted to! I'm sooooooooo excited for their next album and i can't wait for it to come out!
Epik High aren't just one of the best Kpop/rap bands around, they're one of the best bands EVER!!
Buy it- its such a mixture of tunes, beats and rhymes.
