Every role she has taken on have impressed me. This series is my first time seeing Hu Ge as an actor, and this role suits him very well. The story on how love lives on in the heart, and not just in the mind is very well explained. The actors are all amazing. My only disappointment with this drama series, are the special effects. It could have been so much better. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. I purchased this dvd set, risking the chance that it may have bad English subtitling. June 25, 2006 One of the BEST!!Knowing that this drama was 50+ episodes, I was hesitant to watch. But, after watching the movie, "The King and The Clown, and it's minor explanation of the death of King Yeon-San's mother; I was suggested to watch this drama by another fan in order to understand why the King's mother was turned to kill herself. The first two episodes of this drama was included as the 'special features' in, "My Lovely Samsoon," so I was able to watch it. After watching those two episodes, I became completely hooked. That same day, I ordered the first volume. Dae Jang Geum is a beautifully casted, filmed and well written drama. I completely adored the young girl who played Dae Jang Geum and her character having the determination to become the best with pure devotion. All the characters are well portrayed and defined. This drama is very informative on the aspects of health, food, sincerity and hope. Even though, I'm usually not a fan of watching a drama or movie set during historic times, I found myself not being able to stop watching. Women were very proper and elegant during those times. Definately cannot wait to watch the rest. This drama truly defines the quote, "When one door closes, another opens." Highly recommend this drama to everyone. Did you find this review helpful? Especially, since it's part of SBSi's collection of other artists; such as, Shinhwa, BoA, NRG, Hyori...SBS have done a great job putting together these interviews, perfs and behind the scene cams. If you've enjoyed the dvd set of the other artists, this dvd set is well worth it. The interviews are very personal and I was impressed to how much is revealed and talked about; which the group members have never been able to comment and talk about before. A few topics they touch upon are; what they think of the other group members, their family, how they started out to becoming who they are today, their relationship w/ Lee Soo Man...etc. Which is something different from everyday questions and answers we see on entertainment programs of these guys. I must say, the most enjoyable clip is the fan cam into their home. There, they seem the most comfortable. The special features from SM Ent. and SBSi are fun to watch and include clips for the game shows, Love Letter and Xman. Included are all of TVXQ's music videos and a perf. of each song they have promoted since they debuted in 2003. Which is a great collection to have for any fan. This dvd set will definately NOT disappoint you and well worth the money spent. The packaging is awesome, and is just like a TV drama set. The quality of the videos itself are excellent and the english subtitling is PLUS! for those of us who don't understand the Korean language. I highly recommend this. This dvd is definately worth the buy. I was not too familiar with NRG, except for knowing only a few songs of theirs, such as; Hit Song, Cheer For Korea's Men and Sorrow. After seeing them in concert, I was hooked, and bought this dvd without thinking twice about it. In this specially made dvd for fans, it gives everyone an inside on how NRG came together, the ups and downs-challenges each member have encountered through the years. The most emotional and heart-wrenching chapter in this dvd is the documentary/tribute to their late member, Antonio. It's brought me to tears each and every time I've watched it. Another plus with this dvd, other than it being ALL-REGION code, it also comes with English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean subtitles. English subtitles is a MUST for me and this had superb subtitling. There's so much included in this; such as self cams and photo galleries of each member, plus music videos, tv performances and on the set of music video shoots. I truly think the members honestly expressed their thoughts and feelings on various topics, including how the kpop music business works (which I have yet to see kpop artists honestly reveal, before seeing this), and their love for their family and fans. I just can't believe it took me this long to recognize such a, down-to-earth, exceptional and determined group. After purchasing and watching this dvd through, I can finally say I've become a fan. Their music is different from other kpop artists, nowadays. MyungHoon and SungHoon's rapping are not harsh and cooperates really well with SungJin and YooMin's emotional voices. I hope there will be many more successful years for this group. Thanks to YesAsia for offering this product and SBS's collaboration with NRG to bring a must have dvd for NRG fans. Yet, I have not come upon a single bad review. Even after all of that, I did not have high expectations for this film, thinking I might be disappointed if I did. After seeing this film, I would have to say this is one of my favorite romantic comedy movies. Right from the start, I'm already laughing nonstop. With some dramatic scenes mixed in with comedy, I was crying and laughing at the same time in some parts of the movie. There's not a single scene where the story drags; every scene is very meaningful. Jeon Ji Hyun and Jang Hyuck are very compatible. Eventhough, Ji Hyun's character in Windstruck is similar to My Sassy Girl's, she is able to pull a softer image in this one when she faces life and death situations. As for Jang Hyuck, after seeing him in Story of A Bright Girl, I was skeptical to see his performance in Windstruck. After seeing this movie, I was amazed at Jang Hyuck's performance. Portraying a much more calm, sweet and funny character; you start to adore him for his softer side. Anyone who have seen My Sassy Girl and loved it, you'll enjoy this film as well.
