Frequent Jackie Chan collaborators Bill Tung, Mars, and Tai Bo (who can all be seen mugging it up with Jackie in the Police Story series) star in this Magic Story from 1987, which follows the adventures of a pint-sized hopping vampire named Ding Dong and his not-so-scary bloodsucking relatives. Also known by the deceptively gruesome title Corpse Master, Magic Story may be the perfect introductory film for budding Hong Kong horror fans who aren't quite old enough to have Encounters of the Spooky Kind.

Ding Dong is a little lost vampire who's hopped away from his concerned undead family. While Mother and Granny vampire are out looking for Ding Dong, the wandering corpse child makes some living friends who try to help him get back to the netherworld. A wicked Taoist priest who's using reanimated corpses to perpetrate a series of crimes gets wind of little Ding Dong and seeks to turn the vampire kid into his latest zombie slave. The local police chief, meanwhile, is out to eradicate the undead that are plaguing the village. Ding Dong's friends and foes alike converge in a spooky haunted house for a raucous showdown between vampires, wizards, and some very scared humans!
