Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden is more than just a TV series, it's a cultural phenomenon. First aired in 2001, the immensely popular drama swept over Asia and launched the four unknown leads - Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Vanness Wu, and Ken Chu - into international stardom. The boys became so popular they promptly formed the pop group F4, a name taken from the drama. Based on the Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango, Meteor Garden's refreshing youth-oriented romance attracted many fans throughout Asia and started a new wave of "idol drama" production in Taiwan.

The tough, hardworking Shan Cai (Barbie Hsu) attends an exclusive university, because her comical parents hope that she will be able to thus find a wealthy boyfriend. Shan Cai, however, finds her shallow, privileged classmates unbearable, especially the notorious F4. Rich, handsome, and arrogant, Dao Ming Si (Jerry Yan), Hua Ze Lei (Vic Chou), Mei Zuo (Vanness Wu), and Xi Men (Ken Chu) are the kings of the school and no one, not even the professors, dare challenge them. No one, that is, except Shan Cai. Angry at their rudeness, Shan Cai tells off the members of F4, bringing a world of trouble upon herself. The proud and persistent Dao Ming Si falls hard for the feisty Shan Cai, but she shares a connection with the quiet and sensitive Hua Ze Lei. Caught between the two friends, who will Shan Cai choose?

　　女主角牧野杉菜，一個堅強如雜草般的女子，帶著父母的夢想，進入了超級貴族學校，原本想平平靜靜地渡過大學生活，誰知道她為了替好友解難，卻惹怒了學園惡勢力團體F4為首的道明寺，從此展開了一連串的愛恨情仇。

　　男主角道明寺是個霸氣又孩子氣的有錢公子，因為牧野杉菜的反抗有別其他女孩的巴結而對她產生情愫，可是萬萬想不到，杉菜喜歡的卻是他的好友花澤類，而花澤類卻暗戀著青梅竹馬的滕堂靜，這樣的四角戀情，糾結著收視注目。

　　整個劇情充滿校園喜劇成分及男女情愛，尤其是窮人牧野杉菜的愛及堅毅的特質，慢慢化解男主角的戾氣，屏除了校園暴力的問題，是部校園勵志青春劇的代表。而漫畫改編而成的電視劇也是台灣電視史上的創舉，當然備受莘莘學子的青睞，我們相信在秉持質感的原則下，必能將此劇帶動一股清新風潮。

　　Shan Tsai is an indomitable girl, who fulfils her parents dream of entering the super noble school. Initially she just wants to spend her university life peacefully. But inadvertently she gets involved in settling problems for her good friend, and infuriates Dau Ming Sz, the leader of F4, a gang of troublemakers at the university. From then on a series of scenarios involving love, hate and passion begin to develop.

　　The childish Dau Ming Sz is a spoiled hedonistic scion of a wealthy family. All girls want to get close to Dau Ming Sz, except Shan Tsai. This ironically sparks off Dau Ming Sz's affection for Shan Tsai. However, out of expectation. Shan Tsai is fond of Hua Tze Lei. Dau Ming Sz's close friend. And amidst all this. Hua Tze Lei has a crush for Jing, re-kindling the innocent mutual affection they shared during childhood.

　　The story plot is a romance comedy around boys and girls in campus. The love and persistent personality of the poverty stricken Shan Tsai, gradually curbs the aggressive temperament of Dau Ming Sz and in turn, helps eradicate on-campus violence.
