chatmonchy's debut full length album established the three-piece band, consisting of vocalist/guitarist Hashimoto Eriko, bassist Fukuoka Akiko and drummer Takahashi Kumiko, as a popular female rock trio on the J-pop scene. Miminari features their first single Koi no Kemuri ("Love Smoke" - Track 8), a former opening theme song from the TV Tokyo program JAPAN COUNTDOWN. Also included are Renai Spirits (Track 9), the ending theme from the June and July 2006 broadcast of Fuji TV's HEY!HEY!HEY! MUSIC CHAMP and "Tokyo Hachimitsu Orchestra" (Track 1), which features the girls' impressions of their ride from Tokushima to Tokyo.

The 3 piece girl rock band Chatmonchy create a sweet sounding rock album with some upbeat and catchy songs. The album is a relaxing cd to play when you feel down or you just want to tap your feet to some upbeat tunes. Chatmonchy's debut album although it has its flaws (some songs are samey) it still delivers a great sound for any fans of the genre. Grab it and you wont regret it! |
