Koda Kumi Special Photo Album Box

March 3, 2007 pretty cool, but oy, the price! As a die-hard Kumi fan, I had to order this special box set. I thought it was actually a re-release of the "Maroc" photo book, that was released back in July with the single "4 hot wave", but it turned out to be something different. Let me clear up the mess for people who are confused about this product, as I was.
The product itself is pretty big. It's a big cardboard case (bigger than "Maroc", if you've bought it already) that has all the goodies inside.
Goody #1 - Picture book:
The main thing here is a big picture book. It's twice as big than "Maroc", and it contains pictures that WEREN'T in the past book. This is actually very nice. Think of it as "Maroc - Part 2". If you've seen the pictures of Kumi in Marocco and loved them, you'll also like this book.
Goody #2 - Making-of Picture Book:
This is a pretty small book (nearly as big as a CD), which contains the behind-the-scenes pictures of Kumi in Marocco. This is also very cute, mainly because you get to see Kuu looking more natural and goofy.
Goody #3 - Making-of DVD:
Everything I said about the Making-of book applies here. This is a documentary about 40 minutes long that shows Kuu on and off-set during the making of the "Maroc" picture book.
Goody #4 - Bookmark:
This is very cute thing. It goes well with the Kuu's picture book, both "Maroc" and this new one, mainly because it's design is that of a Persian rug.
Goody #5 - Phone strap:
Like the bookmark, this phone strap is also designed to look like a Persian rug. Although the main color is green (why, oh why???), it looks very nice, and it makes you feel good to walk proudly with a phone strap that says "Koda Kumi" on it. =)
THAT'S IT!
The product as a whole is really great, but what keeps the rating only 7/10 is the high price. The stuff that's in the box set aren't really worth the high price.
Therefore, you should get this product only if you're a die-hard fan of Kumi.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)

Flavor Of Life (Japan Version)

March 2, 2007 A Hikki MUST-HAVE!!!After the weird experience called "Boku wa Kuma", finally we get a brand new single from Hikki that matches the spirit of her latest album "ULTRA BLUE".
The first track on the single is simply called "Flavor Of Life". This is the original version of the song, which did not get a PV, and wasn't linked to the famous Japanese dorama. Like Hikki's past songs "DISTANCE" and "FINAL DISTANCE", this is the more up-beat song of the two. The music is very innovative, and you can definitely hear the style of "ULTRA BLUE", as well as the "evolution" in Hikki's music. Hikki's voice is very beautiful, and she has not problem singing the high notes without the song sounding unnatural.
The second song is called "Flavor Of Life -Ballad Version-". This is actually the main song of this single, due to the high exposure of it. The song has a PV of Hikki recording it in a studio, and this is actually the song that was made especially for the dorama. You can definitely hear a difference between the ballad and the original version. This version is a bit slower, and Hikki's voice carries out more emotion. The thing that makes this version really stand out as a ballad version is the fact that Hikki sings between verses. The occasional singing-moan actually sounds great here.
The remix that comes on the single as a CD Exclusive Bonus is called "Flavor Of Life -Antidote Mix-". Like almost every remix that was released by Hikki, this one is no different - and it ROCKS! This is actually a remix of the ballad version, and it is done beautifully. It's very quiet as first, but as the song progresses, it builds up, and gets a really cool beat to it. It's sort of a mixer-upper of the original and the ballad version, and the result is great!
The single also comes with original Karaokes of both versions of the song, and they alone can be something nice to play at the backround while doing stuff.. =)
Overall, the single is simply great! And for such a low price, every Hikki fan MUST HAVE this in his or her collection.
You won't regret it!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Boa Aroma Cellphone Accessory
July 1, 2006 Extremely cute! This little thing here may not do much, but still - it rocks! For those looking for something cool to hang from their cell-phone - this is the right thing!
It's not too big, and it also has very good scent, which I still haven't figured out how it stays as strong as it was to day I got it.
Perfect for any BoA fan!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

June 28, 2006 Great album! This Korean version actually contains the songs from all versions of this album. As we know, the good people of Sweetbox love to sell the same album in like a million versions, with a slight difference from version to version, like adding a song here and there.
This release cotains ALL the songs from ALL versions of this album. It is split into two discs, both of which come in a beautiful soft case, with a cardboard slip case.
The songs on the album a simply great. Each one is unique and has a style of it's own.
This is great CD and a MUST HAVE item for any Sweetbox fun!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
