Developed by Brownie Brown for Nintendo's handheld system, the Game Boy Advance, this long-awaited third installment of the popular Mother series - known as Earthbound in markets outside Japan - has been veiled in veritable secrecy ever since the game was first announced a few years back. Now, all its secrets can be revealed, as Mother 3 takes place in a faraway location known only as the Nowhere Islands. Complete pandemonium takes hold of the island community after the locals find their lands invaded by an alien species of evil pig creatures! This hog-like armada takes complete control of the islands, even going so far as to install a dictatorial police state in order to carry out experiments on the island's fragile ecosystem.

In terms of gameplay, the various chapters of this title's storyline center on the misadventures of a tough-as-nails hero named Flint, as well as his family and friends, all of whom reside in the heretofore peaceful setting of Tazmilly Village. Unlike most games of its kind, Mother 3 contains multiple protagonists, as each chapter of this single player role-playing game (RPG) puts an entirely different character in the leading role! For example, gamers must take control of a thief known as Duster in one chapter, while in another, they must maneuver a monkey called Salsa, who just so happens to be owned by a wealthy traveling salesman named Yokuba! Originally announced for the Nintendo 64 system way back in 1996, the highly-anticipated RPG Mother 3 is now available to patient gamers some twenty years later for play on the Game Boy Advance!
