　　萬能私家偵探社社長黃若思（許冠文飾）見李國傑（許冠傑飾）智擒小偷，便僱用之。黃與李合作屢破奇案，生意滔滔不絕，黃李兩人到戲院偵查打單案，突現歹徒數十人械劫戲院，賊首九叔（石堅飾），更率馬仔數人，喝令全院觀眾，盡獻隨身財物，黃若思亦被困座上，計無所出，幸其拍檔李溜出院外，伺機行事……

　　Young Lee Kwok Kit (Samuel Hui) was employed to work in a private detective agency of Joseph Wong (Michael Hui). By fact, he means you can cheat all the people all the time and corners are there to be cut.

　　Wong and Kwok Kit go to the theatre concerning about the blackmail investigation. Halfway through the show, the movie goes off and the lights come on. Scores of gun-toting hoods hold the more than 1,000 goers as hostage. Uncle Gaw (Shek Kin) goes on stage to announce that it is a hold-up. He says nobody will get hurt if they surrender everything into his deposit bags. Wong finds himself on stage playing Russian roulette with Uncle Gaw. But Kwok Kit manages to slip out...

Great Comedy Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I guess this was their third film in the '70s. I like to see the Kung Fu jokes in this movie and the hilarious fight in the supermarket between Sam Hui and the shop-lifter; but the holdup scenes in the cinema is a little exaggerated.
