Ignore the bad reviews associated with this movie. I thought that this movie was great and definitely well worth the price. I loved the characters in the movie. Although it was a little sad, i fully enjoyed this movie.

I decided to watch this movie because it had good reviews on this website. I'm quite shocked to see the low ratings here. I really loved this movie. I was really touched by it. The mood was very nice with the deep blue sea and the music. The movie was very thoughtful and it touched me. I usually don't watch these kind of movies. I like those action/adventure/fun films and I usually get bored very easily (like within 5 minutes). I would recommend it to anyone but I guess it depends on your taste. The male lead is really funny, I had a lot of laughs.

Im already used to bad endings. but this one just didnt made it worthwhile. I watched this because it attarcted alot of publicity as "the" movie not to miss! I believed that being a re-make of a japanese movie made me really excited. Why else would a film production company do a remake if its not really good. well, guess what? its neither here nor there!!! what a waste of good actors!

 Not as good as I expected! Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
I expected the movie to be better, but most of the time I'd just wanted it to end. I thought it could have been way better.

I like Tae Hyun other movies a lot so I watched this one. I think this one is really bad compared to his other ones.

The girl is pretty cute but I don't think she would be the hottest girl in school; when they said that I laugh.

This is not a happy endding movie so if you don't like those types of movies, than you wouldn't like this one. On the other hand, if you don't mind watching sad movies, than you should watch it. I think mostly for me, I didn't like it because it was a sad endding but it wasn't that sad because I felt nothing when it happened.

I hope next time that he gets a better movie to work on because this one wasn't that good for him.

Its worth a go! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I saw this film on the way back from Singapore. I had just watched King Kong and was so upset I wasted 3 hours of my life on yet another over-rated, more style than substance, American film.
I watched a number of Asian films, made in China, Korean and Japan. It was so refreshing to see the story and dialogue finally take precedence over special effects.
My Girl and I was a great film (made me want to surf for it on the internet) It was very funny, something I didn't think I would get out of a Korean film. Well put together with good cinematography
So if you want to watch something a bit different, I recommend this film strongly. At the end of the day no matter what nationality, race or religion we maybe. All of us hold the same values, hopes and dreams.

this movie sucks big time!!!some parts are funny and all, but overall, it was horrible acting from song hye kyo. she was really really pretty in the movie, but her acting in this movie is too lame and not believable...i mean don't get me wrong, i'm a big fan of hers that's why i bought the movie in the first place, but i was really really really disappointed. i think she is better at her longer movies instead!!!

What are you all talking about??? This movie was terrible. I couldnt get myself to watch the ending. It was slow, and Song Hye Kyo gave another poor acting. She is beautiful no doubt but honestly she can not act and because they movie was slow it illustrated that quite clear.

I would not recommend this movie. Dont waste your time and $$.

Original is much better Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
It seems odd to me how this is a carbon copy of the original yet they chose to remove one of the best aspects of the original, the parrallel present storyline. In the original the main character goes back in his memories while he digs up old audio cassette letters between him and his girlfriend. It was beautiful how the story was set up yet they have completely removed it from the korean remake. It really makes the korean remake a standard run of a mill love story with a tragic ending unlike the original japanese film which was really new and refreshing.

THE MOVIE IS OK. THE STORYLINE IS THE USUALLY LOVE AND DIE LATER. VERY TOUCHING. MAIN CHARACTERS REALLY LOOK GOOD TOGETHER. AS ALWAYS, CHA TAE HYUN ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY.WORTH WATCHING BUT DON'T EXCEPT A DIFFERENT TWIST.
