YesAsia Editorial Description

The most anticipated costume drama on television, this is an adaptation of the martial arts novel by acclaimed writer Wun Ruian. Ni Shui Han stars Hong Kong actors Julian Cheung and Zhong Han Liang, and the production travels as far as Yinchuan Desert and Wuxi to capture the natural beauty of China. Julian Cheung, who is familiar playing a hero, plays Qi Shao Shang, a hero on the run, while Zhong plays the arch villain.

Ni Shui Han is a legendary sword in the Xiang Wu world, but no one has actually seen it. Qi, while travelling, rescued a fighter chased by assassins, and before the fighter died, he gave his sword to Qi. The sword, soon Qi discovered, is Ni Shui Han. Once the sword is drawn, Qi found a letter hidden in it, and it tells of a treason plot against the country...

Product Information

Best wuxia drama in the last 10 years Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ni Shui Han was a surprise. I learned, after watching years of wuxia drama not to expect too much, but Nishuihan well exceeded my expectations. It is a drama that combines the delicacy of the character's internal struggles with the martial arts performances. It plays just the right amount of light-hearted humour alongside the profound insights on life and values. The characters, major and minor, look into their souls and make choices regarding their beliefs. Justice and loyalty or love or power?
The feelings watching this drama invoked in me are similar to those after I watched "Farewell My Concubine", and no other wuxia drama can compare to this. This is much more than a wuxia drama, it is a touching story about life and truth.
The story is definitely worth the viewer's time. Wen Ruian, the original writer for the story, is known for his maze-like plots and dark twists. The actors, especially Wallace Chung, who played the antagonist Gu Xi Zhao, and Li Hai Tao, who played the hero's best friend, Lei Juan, are worthy of distinction. They have made this drama come to life. Their pains and struggles are what moves the viewers to tears. There are only a couple of minor errors in the production, and they were historical or cultural mistakes, but those are usually present in wuxia dramas because afterall, this is entertainment.

Noisy Drama!!!!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
the plot is quite okay, but only the sound effect are too noisy, especially when come to those big fighting sence, the music are too loud and keep on repeat almost cover the whole series. as the theme song still ok, anyway, if you are looking for good storyline this is ok, but if looking sound effect and quality, i can recommaned u better not to get it if not u will be regret it..................

enquiries Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Hi, I would like to find out whether the fighting is the old type of fighting or the matrix style kind where there is slow motion and then fast again. I kind of prefer the old type of fighting style where you can really see the strokes they use

Pls feedback
