Baek Ji Young Vol. 6

September 17, 2007 Perfecto!I never really got into baek ji young except for her single off of vol 5 that was a huge hit. I love the division that she has made with this CD. To be honest I never heard of her until vol 5 but this cd (vol 6) will put her up there in the ranks with ivy and chae yeon for dance hits and lee soo young with ballads.
Again the cd division is perfect and really shows her diversity. Her dance beats are awesome and her voice is husky yet amazing. I love how she has a little bit of everthing all on one CD.....this is a must buy for any kpop fan, without a doubt. My olny complaint is possibly her first single of this cd sounding like her hit from vol 5 but hell...still sounds great. I think that she really put a lot of work into the CD and it sure shows.
One of the best CDs of the year hands down. Good job bjy...u made a new fan for sure.

Lee Soo Young Vol. 8

September 11, 2007 Blah....I waited quite a long time for this and had such high expectations. The CD isn't horrible but def not one of her best works. It has potential but sounds like more of the same old LSY and not much difference. The his songs reminds me of Irish Whistle Blow but is more upbeat. Salang Salang (Track 9) is a good song as well but the rest aren't too impressive. I was really hoping for something a little extra aside from the same old ballads from LSY....something similar to her older works like Vol 5 which is innovative or even something as great as Silent Eyes from Colors of my Life.
I was really hoping that if it was filled with ballads they would be really really good like Silent Eyes but I see this as a bit of a let down. If you like LSY support her and buy the album, but again this is NOT one of her best.....actually in my opinion it is one of her weakest CD'sDid you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Fly To The Sky Vol. 7 - No Limitations

August 6, 2007 Subpar CD at bestFTTS has really fallen off a bit on there last couple CD's. Vol. 5 is when you started to see the decline.....don't get me wrong it was a good album but nothing like sea of love. Then couple CD's later it is just like they are just putting out music to let people know they still exist. This CD is not worth the buy, and to be honest there are a very small amount of good song, if that is what they can be called. I like My angle, although it got old pretty quickly and then I also like "Let's get it on". I really miss old FTTS who sung Magic Song and everything from vol.4.
To respond to the last reviewer I would have to disagree on the KBS being the best R&B although I dunno, honestly, know his music that well. I would have to say that Na Ul from Brown Eyes takes the cake as the best R&B. However other than a few songs he hasn't come out with a CD or made metion of working on something with BE Soul for a while now. It is sad....although there are some great artists today like "Rumble Fish" and various others, I truly miss old KPOPDid you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

April 11, 2007 Finally a success out of BEBoth Yoon Gun and Na Ul have produced good albums outside of BE but none were too much of a success, although Na Ul's remake album was close. This CD should change that. There are MANY tracks that take you right back to the original BE without even thinking twice. Tracks like 4 and 6 are just simply amazing with GREAT melodies and really crisp lyrics.
Track 8 is a remix of a song that was on Yoon Gun's first solo album about 4 years ago. The English lyrics are great and actually make sense!! =P I love "The Muse" (Track 7) which is completely in English-- "The beat of the music testifies that love is alive, rhythm with love, my heart in tune, to you, into your light. You are a melody inside, you're reading my mind, you sing to my soul, my heart in tune to you where ever I go."
You can tell that Yoon Gun has worked extremely hard the last two years on this album and it is shown greatly. You get a great feel from the ballads, some sad and some upbeat and a good techno type song mixed in here and there.
The only thing I disagree with is the choice of title track for the CD. I really think Yoon Gun would have been much better off with track 4 or 6 which are much stronger. But overall it is a GREAT CD!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Chae Yeon Vol. 4 - My Love
April 4, 2007 Very Nice! Not only does she look great but the CD has some awesome songs with great techno/house/trance beats. If you were hoping for ballads this is not your CD with maybe only 1 track being a ballad. She sounds wonderful, however. She still have the same classic style but the beats and songs are spectacular. What an excellent dance CD....Chae Yeon will have you groovin' all the way through the CD =P Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

(3)Our Price: US$12.99List: US$18.99Save: US$6.00 (32%)Usually ships within 7 daysMarch 25, 2007 AmazingJust listen to track 8 and you will see why this is an instant 10. I know that Lee Soo Young did this song on one of her older CD's....don't know if she remade it also or if she was the original creator of the song but KGM's version is simply amazing. His voice completely transforms the song and the orchestral parts are really nice.
Apart from track 8 there are some other awesome songs on the CD like track 5, very subtle and playful. Track 9 which has a great feel. Overall I think that KGM has disconnected from his music the past couple albums. The last CD was good but lots of remakes and not as popular. His last great CD was Vol. 8 which was very popular with the candle on the front. This will hopefully put him near the top of the charts again with just a very unique cd.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Tei Vol. 4 - Lover
February 10, 2007 Not bad!Well here is another good offering from Tei. He has added a few different style songs to his mix with a nice powerful principal track. Some songs like "My song" have really bad broken English and the CD overall is lacking the powerful Tei voice in many places but it was still a great effort. It is really hard to top his last CD with was packed with hits but he came close. Worth the buy! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

February 10, 2007 AWESOME CD'sThese 2 CD's are just simply packed with hits from Hon (#11 CD 1) and part 1 (Track 9 CD 1) Still life and the other fantastic songs and instrumental beats that Epik High offers. Tablo has some GREAT flows with lots of meaning. YOu can tell a lot of time and work was put into these CD's and they are really worth the $15...I would easily pay $29.99. GREAT WORK Epik High Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Ivy Vol. 2 - A Sweet Moment

February 10, 2007 SKIP TRACK 1 & 2This CD OTHER THAN TRACK 1 & 2 is a really good CD with some great songs and beautiful vocals. Ivy has improved vocally and you can tell in songs like Track # 5 (1 to 10) and Antonio (Track 13) as well as track 14. The CD overall is very good except for track 1 and 2 which honestly are garbage. I am REALLY disappointed that Ivy choose track 2 as her principal track....that is a really bad idea because the song is just garbage with horrible vocals and a ruined Beethoven beat. Track 1 as well is very bad with her vocals just sounding horrible. Ivy, PLEASE DON'T change with those types of vocals. The rest of the CD is pretty good though. Did you find this review helpful? December 5, 2006 2 words: Classic Wax
This CD embodies her entire ballad career. The CD came out at EXACTLY the right time of year with most of the ballads having that perfect winter/holiday feel like Track 5....just reminds me of strolling the streets with snow blanketed on the ground...such a beautiful song and ONLY Wax could pull something like that off. Track 1, her first single also has a very wintery ballad feel to it...perfect release time.
The most upbeat songs on the CD are tracks 4 and track 9. Track 9 is my favorite song on the CD...just an excellent beat, great vocals, and a really good feel.
Many of the songs have the same type of feel like track 1, 3, and 10 all with light piano beats but overall beautiful songs. Track 3 has a nice little guitar riff...nice song but not one of my favorites.
Track 8 is REALLY interesting...another one of my favorites. It starts off like it is going to be a fast dance track and then turns into this sultry song with a jazzy tempo and interesting sounds of the harmonica and sythesizer.
Overall for only having 10 tracks this is a really solid ballad CD for Wax proving she can easily hold ranks with that of Lee Soo Young and other ballad stars.
Pros: Excellent ballads with that perfect Wax style.
Cons: Almost entirely ballads with very little upbeat dance tracks.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Uhm Jung Hwa Vol. 9 - Prestige
October 26, 2006 Weird Cd.......This Cd reminds me SOOOOO much of Kim Hyun Jung's I Love Jazz or Vol. 7....it is VERY experimental with some very odd song, vocal, and rhythm choices. One song that proves this is track 13 which is a cell phone call with a jazzy/blues beat in the background and in between the call you randomly hear "Nan nan nan nan nan nan Saranghae....Saranghae nan Saranghag. Nan nan nan nan nan nan Saranghae, yung one ee. I only know bits of the Korean Language so I don't know exactly what the cell phone calls are about but it is def an odd song.
Her hit song #3 has an odd rythm but I have to admit it is rather catchy and her performance is kinda hott...she looks good with short hair and she chose a good song to start with from this CD.
Track 11 has a nice sultry type beat to it. It reminds me of a nice winter day but again her lyrics sound a little off and flat in places.....but overall it is a peaceful song.
Track #7 has a REALLY good beat but her vocals almost ruin the song for me because she just sounds almost annoying in certain points before the chorus where her voice breaks in and out. The Song itself is awesome beat wise but she really did bad with the lyrics IMO, but I am sure eventually it will grow on me simply because I like the beat.
Some of the tracks like track 1, track 2, track 4 and track 5 sound as if they are directly taken out of the 70's and 80's and are VERY experimental....they are all just decent. Out of the 4 I would pick track 5 as my favorite of that style and it is just a mellow relaxing type song...NOTHING SPECIAL **YAWN**
Track 3, 6 8 and 9 are definately the best tracks on the CD with 8 really reminding me of her last double cd kinda sounding like a mix between Union of the Snake and Eternity.
Overall I think her next single will be from the listed 4 of my "good" category above with it most likely being track 6. I think she did good with Come 2 me as her first single...it is really an interesting song.
Overall the Cd is Sub-par for someone who has been in the business this long and is on her 9th volume but again it does have some decent tracks that will probably do well on the charts given her popularity and following...

(19)Our Price: US$12.99List: US$18.99Save: US$6.00 (32%)Usually ships within 7 daysOctober 10, 2006 Absolutely perfect!!!I would have waited 2 more years if I would have known that this CD would be this good. This blows any other cd that came out this year straight out of the water, EASILY.
Well the CD start out with about 7 dance/techno/trance track down to How #8 in which that and the rest consist of ballads and a light salsa type baek ji-young style. I am listening to EVERY signle song and I am just amazed.....You can tell she put a VERY large effort into this CD and it will easily top anything the rest of the big players will put up before years end including sev7en, bi, ivy, big bang and koyote.
Some stand out hits are easily track 12 with an extremely catchy light beat that is a perfect ballad-type hit song. I love you Choel Soo is another excellent piece but too be honest none of them stands out from the other as far as being different rank wise.....Every single track is EXCELLENT simply put. A few raps here and there sound a bit off for her but it does add a bit of flair especially in track 12...SUCH AN AMAZING BEAT!!! Track 2 (Just Look At Me) Has this AMAZING egyptian type beat and is extremely catchy (I'm going crazy, I want you baby!). The english parts are flawless and this entire CD is WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM LEE HYUN JUNG AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!!!
I can easily say that some songs on this CD surpass even here premier songs of Wah and Heaven which are CLASSICS~~
This will be a WORLD hit CD and is priceless....in other words buy it....there is NO WAY you can go wrong....everything that Kpop has ever brought to this world has lead up to this CD...If you like Lee Hyun Jung for her techno/dance track that were missed from Passion you will be ESTATIC!

October 1, 2006 The trot queen is back!!!Well folks, the trot queen is back with yet another album. This album has it all from new tracks, to a couple old remade tracks with awesome sounds. Track 3 has a nice techno feel as well as the "Call Me" remake. The sounds are just amazing throughout the CD and you have everything from traditional trot to techno...What a deadly combination...a sure hit with all ages in Korea! September 30, 2006 This CD is REDICULOUSLY GREATWoW is all I can say!! This CD is amazing. I really expected for Koyote to drop of after Rainbow and Feel Up were just subpar. This CD has it all!!! A couple ballads here and there to lighten the mood but the dance tracks are where it is at. This is Koyote at their best. Starting from the beginning of the CD with track 2, which just has a sultery sound to it. Then track 5 is a nice upbeat type summer song. Track 7 is amazingly catchy with an awesome beat...I predict track 7 to be another hit for koyote as well as track 13. 13 has one of the best beats to a Koyote song that I have ever heard. Once you hear it you will not want to stop. Some other great songs to check out are 10, 11 and the rap in 8 is slow and flows excellently! It is really hard to say anything bad about this CD at all. Overall there are maybe 2 songs that could have been left off but regardless it is a 16 track CD with at least 5 of them being some of the best works of Koyote's career to date.
Without a doubt, if you buy any CD is 2006, this should be it!! I was starting to worry about Kpop but this CD has restored my faith!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

September 21, 2006 FINALLY!!!!Wow....I didn't think it would actually come out this year! It's be under coming soon since jan. Anyways I will buy it. I am wasn't trying to talk bad about her but she has focused on so many other markets that it seemed she was neglecting her true fans in Korea. Regardless I hope it is a great CD. August 22, 2006 OMG....Wow....can you say KOYOTE?!?! There hit song sounds EXACTLY like Koyote....they have the rapper, the high pitched type vocal male and then the female. The actual song that is popular right now sounds exactly like an old koyote song too....song is upbeat.. a rap hear and there and then it ends with the beat lightening for the last chorus....Wow...I can't believe how much they sound EXACTLY like Koyote...they really need to get their own style. This single includes a little, rap, R&B, jazz and a ballad. I would recommend all of the songs except for #4 which seems a bit lackluster but that is alright....Duke is not a great ballad group....the last great ballad they did was a Christmas Day from Vol. 4. SG Wannabe Vol. 3- The 3rd Masterpiece
July 31, 2006 ExcellentI am impressed with SG Wannabe's Vol. 3. Vol.1 Obviously put them on the charts but Vol. 2 seemed to be lacking slightly although it was also a good CD. However, SG wannabe comes back with a great 3rd CD with great songs and new sounding songs.
Great songs: Track 1, Track 4 and Track 8
Cons: Wedding never should have been put on the CDDid you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
