シングル・マザーながらも雑誌記者として活躍するスジョンは、男顔負けの仕事ぶりと明るいキャラクターで、仕事仲間からも愛されていた。彼女が懸命に育てている1人娘のジスは、かつて妻帯者とは知らずに付き合っていたジファンとの間にできた子供だった。その時に受けた心の傷はまだ完全には癒えていないものの、現在の恋人・ヨンハが、そんな彼女を親身になって支えてくれている。やがて2人は結婚を決意するが、ヨンハの母親が猛反対し…。
本作は、1968年に大ヒットし、シリーズも作られた名作映画のリメイク版。オリジナルも手がけたチョン・ソヨン監督が本作でも指揮を取り、主演には「冬のソナタ」のサンヒョク役でブレイクし、歌手としても活躍しているパク・ヨンハが起用されている。共演はドラマ「初恋」「ひまわり」のイ・スンヨン、「ファースト・キス」のイ・ギョンヨン。映像特典として、メイキングなどが収録されている。
