One Husband Too Many VCD

After the box office success of Happy Bigamist in 1987, Anthony Chan follows up with more 80s rom-com shenanigans in One Husband Too Many. Again pulling double as actor and director, Chan teams up once more with Wynners bandmate Kenny Bee. Anita Mui and Pat Ha also return as their spouses, but this time they appear in supporting roles, passing the romantic baton to Cherie Chung.

Theater enthusiast Sun (Anthony Chan) is so passionate about drama he sells his home to stage Romeo and Juliet. The plays turns out to be a complete failure, however, and the last straw in the hat for his wife (Anita Mui) who silently leaves him. Marriage isn't working out too well for his friend Wa (Kenny Bee) either. Fed up with a husband who he spends too much time at work and not enough time at home, Wa's wife (Pat Ha) suddenly ups and leaves. Things finally look up for Sun when he produces a popular play starring rich girl Hung (Cherie Chung), and the two begin dating. But it turns out Wa also has his eyes on Hung...

兩人痛定思痛，決改前非，信以通俗話劇，大收旺場，更與女角飄紅（鍾楚紅飾）結緣。華仔亦結髮留鬚，坐襌論佛，信春風得意，共鼓勵華仔重覓愛侶。期時華仔為產品廣告，紅對其一見傾心。紅若即若離，信疑心頓起，跟蹤下始知又是華仔橫刀奪愛，但無名無份，發作不得，只得懷恨在心……

Friend puts everything into his stage presentation Romeo and Juliet. It is not well received by a backwater country fair. In fact, he and Anita are driven off stage into torrential rains. Anita leaves him for good too. Out on a limb, Friend goes to seek Kenny and Wench's help, only to see his ex-wife leaving her current husband for gross neglect. Kenny, a busy booming adman, becomes less creative and is asked to take a rest. It's only natural that Friend and Kenny should have a great fall. They try to take mutual care but are fearful of the homosexual tendencies....
