July 18, 2006 Koda Kumi's minimal effortI'm more disappointed in what Koda Kumi has been doing lately. Koda Kumi has become REDICULOUSLY sexual in the last year or so and it's just been downhill. Along with her ~second session~ album, this single shows just how little work Kumi is putting into her songs anymore.
I was most dissapointed with the song 'ningyohime'. It is a very nice and catchy rock tune that could have easily been the best track on the album, weren't it for Koda Kumi herself. Kumi does NOT have the singing voice for rock. Her voice just sounds screechy and overworked in this song.
Also, none of the songs lyrics are anything special either. It's been a good year or two since she's written anything meaningful.
Koda Kumi HAS talent. So why doesn't she show it anymore? The only thing Kumi is showing these days is her chest.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

July 18, 2006 Repackage....Well, repackaging always bothers me, because if I like something, I'll buy it right away if it's not pre-ordered.
This repackage comes with 5 more DVD features and a new (SEXY) cover along with a new booklet.
All in all it's a good buy, and not a bad price for an (mini-ish?)album + DVD (Even though the title says single).
So, if you haven't bought the original version of this yet, buy it Now! This repackage is nothing to be missed.
-and the Idiot before me that rated this a 0 because the DVD region is 3, needs to buy: and all-region DVD player, a PS2 ActionReplay MAX, or just use their computer DVD player. June 19, 2006 Fantastic TracklistSince the news that this single was no longer triple a-side, as originally planned by avex + ayu, I was a little dissapointed- and I must admit, a little biast in my opinion towards this single in the negative.
I have just recently heard the tracks and I am actually quite impressed. BLUE BIRD is a catchy summer song that really does grow on you. Music composer Dai from the former band Do As Infinity never fails to impress. Beautiful Fighters is an addictive pop/rock tune that will get you dancing in no time. You'll be humming it all day long. Ladies Night ~another night~ mix is a fantastic remix of an already excellent song. With hardcore rock to back it up, I admit, I was jamming to this in my car nonstop. But what REALLY impressed me was the trance remix of BLUE BIRD. The constant changes in the beat just gradually become more exquisite. This is probably my favorite track on the single, and I don't even like trance music in particular.
With ayu putting her heart and soul into her works (and it shows!), her 40th single is fully loaded and won't leave the buyer with remorse at all! Definately a must buy.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

June 10, 2006 new Japanese + korean BESTLee Jung Hyun's Japanese album "THIS IS HYONY" is a perfect blend of Lee's new Japanese songs (all of which are beyond perfection) along with some of Lee's best korean songs that will keep any buyer dancing nonstop to the funky electro-trance beats from "GX-339" to the hardcore euro beats from "WA -come on-" all the way to new songs like "HEAVY WORLD" which holds true to Jpop song fashions.
All together, this can be refered to as a 'BEST' album along with new songs and remixed and remastered songs in Japanese.

May 20, 2006 Okay...This single isn't bad... It's better than some of the crap she's been putting out for her -second session- album.
I used to really like Koda from her first three albums; secret wasn't bad... but as time goes on, koda seems to be more driven by the media than true personal intentions.

February 2, 2006 LIVES or STUDIO RECORDINGS?This is a great album and I highly recommend it (according to tracklist of course).
