December 31, 2006 Great Compilation Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The Immaculate Collection is the ultimate and essential compilation of Madonna's early works as a singer and artist. It contains the song Borderline which made her extremely popular in the mid-1980s. And it includes the song Crazy For You, which she sang for the motion picture Desperately Seeking Susan. As for this Immaculate Collection CD, I have both the US and Japan version. The sound quality and physical product (CD disc, booklet, case) quality of the Japan version is superior and best. For those who want a good compilation of Madonna's early classic works, The Immaculate Collection is a great buy.

October 8, 2006 Butterfly -Upbeat and Fun Song Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Koda Kumi - Butterfly single CD. I love this song "Butterfly." She has a very sexy and mesmerizing voice. The song "Butterfly" has a very nice catchy dance beat that really rocks. Makes you want to get up and dance. It's such a fun song to dance and sing along to. Also love the instrumental version. Plus this single CD contains two other great songs on it. A total of three songs with their instrumental versions, total of six tracks.

October 8, 2006 Slow Dance towards Happiness Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Slow Dance is a Japanese TV drama starring Tsumabuki Satoshi, Fukatsu Eri, Fujiki Naohito, Hirosue Ryoko. Ebihara Yuri has a small part in it as Fujiki Naohito's ex-girlfriend.

Serizawa Riichi (Tsumabuki Satoshi) is 25 years old. His dream and desire is to be a great film director, but he does not feel too confident about this and thus takes a regular job as a driving teacher at Asahi Driving School. One morning, he goes to Hemingway (a cafe) and orders a double capuccino, but the waitress makes a mistake with his order. He goes back to get it exchanged and ends up arguing with a female customer who tells him to wait in line like the rest of the customers. It is her turn to order, not him. Her name is Makino Isaki (Fukatsu Eri). She is 31 years old. She is very strong and outspoken. She works at a clothing shop as a shop keeper selling clothes. Her boyfriends is a salaryman who proposes to her, but she turns down his marriage proposal because she is not sure she wants to go to Germany with him. Later, he decides to break up with her.

Makino Isaki is learning and trying to get her driver's license. It is such a coincidence that one day her instructor is Serizawa Riichi. She feels embarrassed for having argued with him at Hemingway and apologizes. This is not their second meeting. They have met before a long time ago. Riichi remembers she was once his teacher when he was still going to school.

    Side story:
Serizawa Eisuke is Riichi's older brother (Fujiki Naohito) 32 years old, and is very intelligent and works in a bank. He later quits and opens a bar. He breaks up with his "needy" yet very beautiful girlfriend (Ebihara Yuri). And later gets into a situation with Koike Mino (Hirosue Ryoko), 24 years old and works as a sales girl at a clothing shop (the shop where Isaki works at).

The more time that Riichi and Isaki spends, they start to develop a friendship and later develop strong feelings for each other, which they thought were not possible. And later, they forget about their age difference. They discover they have a lot in common and think alike.

Slow Dance is a good drama about young people trying to find their place in society. Turning their dreams and desires into reality. They stand up to their fears and struggles with strong hearts and open minds, alongside with friends.

October 8, 2006 Good Album Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
WaT is a very talented new boyband. WaT stands for Wentz and Teppei (Wentz Eiji and Koike Teppei). I watched WaT on the 56th Kouhaku Utagassen 2005 program, WaT sang the song "Boku no Kimochi" and it was good (they were very professional, especially when the microphones got pulled off the stage and they kept singing and playing their guitars). I was quite impressed with them. I was even more impressed when I found out that they wrote their own music and lyrics. That gave me even more reason to buy this first full album "Bokura no Hajimari."

After listening to this album a few times, it is quite a good album. Their music style is not the typical J-Pop that you mostly hear on Japanese television. It's a mix of country and light rock. You will hear a lot of guitar playing. And there is even a song that has some harmonica sounds. My favorite tracks are 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,11. I really enjoyed this album a lot. And it comes with a glossy full-color photobook with lots of nice, cute photos of WaT.

October 8, 2006 Excellent Easy Listening CD Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Matsu Takako - Bokuraga Ita CD contains many excellent songs. The genre is easy listening. And it is fantastic. This CD is definitely worth the wait (she had not released a CD since 2003). It is obvious that she worked very hard on this full album. Track #1 - Akarino Tomoru Houe is very upbeat. Track #3 - Zutto is a slow and mesmerizing song. Track #4 - Tokino Hune has a kind of country-like, Irish-like style. Track #5 - Soleares Memory has a light jazz feel to it. Track #7 - Sonohimade has a 1950s old fashion feel to it. Track #10 - Bokuraga Ita is a slow and relaxing song. My favorite tracks are #1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11. Matsu Takako has a beautiful and sweet voice. She has the ability to sing a variety of styles and ranges. I highly enjoyed the entire CD and recommend it to those who like easy listening music or those who like music in general. Matsu Takako fans will definitely be happy to have this in their music collection.

July 10, 2006 Good Performance Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Matsu Takako: Concert Tour Vol. 1 "A Piece of Life" on Film. Matsu Takako gave an excellent performance, especially for her first concert tour. She was very professional and she sang awesomely well.

Matsu Takako wears three different outfits. The first outfit is a simple black sleeveless dress, with a white collar and a white long ribbon attached at the side. The second outfit is a grey sparkling sleeveless top with a deep purple sparkling skirt (this outfit is the best). The third outfit is a light brown v-neck t-shirt with elegant white flowers on the collar, tight pants and boots.

The background was very simple and they used different types of lighting to create different atmospheres and moods. She sings about nine songs straight and then she goes to change into a different outfit. Wow. That is amazing how she did not stop for a drink of water or anything. She can sing.

In general, I liked the entire concert. I liked the end the most because she played the piano and sang the song "Anata e" (means "For You"). Matsu Takako is a very charming, elegant and talented singer and songwriter. She writes many of her own songs. And she has a very sweet and lovely voice. There is no dancing in this concert because most of her songs are slow ballads, which I think truly suits her.

June 23, 2006 Fantastic love story Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
"Success Story of a Fine Girl" starring two very popular Korean stars: the beautiful and sweet Jang Na-Ra (Yang Soon) and gorgeous Jang Hyuck (Gi Tae). This drama is about a young girl named Yang Soon, who is in her 3rd year of high school. Her parents are always swindling people out of their money. Two ladies who have been tricked and swindled by her parents, show up at her school and demand her to pay. Since she cannot pay them, she has to go to Seoul to work as a servant/maid for the lady chairman of a large cosmetic company (Pure Snowy).

Gi Tae is 29 years old and works in a very high position at Pure Snowy. One day, he was hand-gliding in the air in the countryside. Yang Soon was at her grandmother's house taking a bath in a tub outside the house. Gi Tae loses control of his hand glider and lands in her bath tub. Yang Soon begins to scream. Gi Tae's necklace with 2 rings falls into the tub.

When Yang Soon goes to Seoul to the mansion, she meets Gi Tae again. He demands her to give him back his necklace with the 2 rings. She gives it back to him and then splashes him with a bucket of water. This is the beginning of the feud between the two. Gi Tae cannot stand her and will give her a very hard time while she is working as a servant/maid at the mansion.

Yang Soon and Gi Tae always argue and give each other a hard time. But as time passes by and as they get to know each other, they start to fall in love with each other. Whenever one of them is in trouble, the other one will try to find a way to help. She becomes protective of him, and he becomes protective of her.

I love this show. It is one of my favorite Korean dramas. I love Jang Na-Ra and Jang Hyuck as a couple in this show. They have very good on-screen chemistry and their acting is quite good.

June 19, 2006 Love takes time Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
"Bakery Amour" starring Michele Reis Lee (Lok To), Francis Ng (Uncle Seven, don't know why it says Uncle Jet, but direct Chinese translation - it is Seventh Uncle, therefore I will say Uncle Seven), and William So (Uncle Seven's nephew).

This is a romantic comedy about losing and finding love. Uncle Seven is an aspiring detective who moves in with his nephew to a new apartment. Lok To is Uncle Seven's nephew's long time pen pal, who had introduced him to move into her building. When Uncle Seven unpacks and cleans up his room, he finds 99 letters in a tin box inside the closet. All the stamps are ripped off and the letters are unopened. The letters are from France, sent to Lok To, from a guy named Ka Lam. Uncle Seven opens all the letters and reads them. He then devises a plan to reunite Lok To and Ka Lam. His first step is to open a bakery shop that sells bread and hires Lok To to help bake bread. But little does Uncle Seven knows, Ka Lam already has a girlfriend whom he met in France.

The bakery shop becomes popular and Lok To even appears in magazines. One day, Ka Lam comes back to Hong Kong and sees the article in a magazine. He goes to the bakery shop to look for Lok To. Uncle Seven's plan is going very well, but all of a sudden he does not feel good. This is when he discovers that he has feelings for Lok To.

Francis Ng's performance is amazing. I like the fact that he is playing a romantic lead. This role is very different from his usual whacky and craze characters. He plays Uncle Seven with a very sweet and caring innocence. Very clean cut and straightforward. I also liked Michele Reis Lee's character Lok To, she is the nice girl-next-door, whom if someone hurts her feelings, would feel really bad. William So as Uncle Seven's nephew has some very funny scenes and funny dialogue with Francis Ng (Uncle Seven).

This movie was released in theaters for public viewing on Valentine's Day. For sure, it is a great romantic comedy movie for Valentine's Day and any day of the year. Excellent movie with excellent actors.

June 19, 2006 In the name of Love Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
"Love on a Diet" starring Sammi Cheng (Mini) and Andy Lau (Fei Lo). Mini is a Hong Kong student who went to Japan to study, during her time of study, she dated a Japanese boy named Kurokawa. Kurokawa had to go overseas, during his time away, she had started to eat and eat and eat, until she got up to three hundred pounds. Ten years later, Kurokawa has become a world famous pianist and has come back to Japan for a concert tour. Kurokawa got on a radio program and admits that he is still in love with Mini and wants to meet with her. Kurokawa does not know that Mini has been attending his concerts, she had gained so much weight that he does not recognize her. After Mini had heard what he said on the radio, she makes it a point to lose all the weight she gained so that she can have the courage to meet with him.

Fei Lo met Mini at a hotel. The owner of the hotel tries to set them up, but neither one of them like each other. Fei Lo thought he would just drive her to the bus/train station and that's it. But she does not get off his car. Instead, she forces him to help her to lose weight. Fei Lo helps her. While he is helping her, he starts to fall in love with her. She starts to have feelings for him too.

When Mini finally loses all the weight and goes back to her normal weight, she finds herself liking both Fei Lo and Kurokawa. She feels she owes a lot for her weight loss success to Fei Lo. At the same time, she still has some feelings for Kurokawa.

"Love on a Diet" has some nice comedy scenes and dialogue. I liked the pairing of Sammi Cheng and Andy Lau when I first saw them in the movie "Needing You". When "Love on a Diet" came out, it was obvious that I was going to watch this movie as well. The on-screen chemistry between Sammi Cheng and Andy Lau is still just as great as their first collaboration. Highly enjoyed this movie. It is very entertaining and funny.

June 19, 2006 Final Romance Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
"Final Romance" starring Amanda Strang and Edison Chen is one of my favorite Hong Kong romantic movies. Amanda Strang comes from a well-to-do family, who goes to Japan and meets a mechanic (Edison Chen). Later they find out that they are in Japan for the same reason. Her father (Simon Yam) does not approve of their relationship and tries to separate them. This is a very good movie with a solid plot. I like the scene when Edison kisses Amanda. I also like the scene when Amanda takes care of Edison and feeds him soup. This is one of the first Edison Chen movies I had watched. I think he is a pretty good actor. He's very cute and charming. In his later films, his acting improves much more. "Final Romance" is one of his early films, and it shows he has potential. Amanda Strang is very nice in this movie, she is quite elegant. The theme song to this movie is called "Wishing Tree" (same as the Chinese title to this movie), it is sang by Jo Koo, which can be found on her first self-titled CD album (track #5).

June 18, 2006 Classic Romantic Drama Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
"Love Generation" is a Japanese TV drama, starring the Matsu Takako (Uesugi Riko) and Kimura Takuya (Katagiri Teppei). Riko is an office lady (OL), she pours the tea, make copies, types, answers the phone, and runs errands. Teppei is a very creative artist, who is constantly late and does not seem to be serious. Therefore, he is kicked out of his department and is forced to work with the sales group in a different department. The manager of the department tells him to clean up his image and he must wear ties, suits & dress shoes.

Riko at first does not like Teppei and thinks he does not take anything seriously. She thinks he is a player and that it would be impossible for him to have a monogamous relationship.

At first, Teppei does not really have any feelings for Riko. He kind of still has feelings for his older brother's fiance, named Mizuhara. Later, he runs into Mizuhara in an office building. They begin to talk and then later they keep meeting. One day, Mizuhara admits to Teppei that she still has feelings for him and believes that she still likes him. This is the time when Teppei and Riko already start to have feelings for each other.

"Love Generation" is about two people who don't believe that they can fall in love and be together. They struggle with the issues of love, trust, and friendship.

Matsu Takako is absolutely beautiful in this drama. She plays Riko with a very sweet and pure personality. Kimura Takuya is very charming and witty as Teppei. He makes Teppei fun and very outgoing.

This is one of my favorite Japanese TV dramas, right after to "Long Vacation".

Eason Chan: My Best Era (3CD+DVD) is truly the best compilation. It contains lot of his hits songs and many fan favorites, a total of 45 songs! And plus it comes with a Karaoke DVD with 12 songs! This is way better than his 'Eason 4 a Change & Hits' compilation. Eason is a true professional singer. He can sing in many different ranges. And he can sure hit those high notes. Plus, he sings with deep passion.

June 17, 2006 1 Hot Lady on Top of Mountain Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
A-mei's 1998 concert is her very first concert. She gave a great performance. I always enjoy watching the beginning of this concert, the first 2 songs she sang are very upbeat and happy, really makes you want to get up and dance. She wore a glittering orange suit and black high heel shoes. I liked when she sang the song "Bad Boy" and had on a silver rain coat, then in the middle of the song, she took it off and had on a silver shimmering little dress. Very sexy, later she gets even more cute and sexy when she wears a black leather tank top with a cross in the middle and black leather pants and sings "On top of the mountain" (track #9), "Addicted to Love" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You." Her English is pretty good, sometimes with a slight accent, quite cute. In this 1998 concert, she does not have as many costume changes as her 1999 concert. This concert is very worth to get because she sings so amazingly great, especially the song "On top of the mountain".

A-Mei's 1999 concert is Hot! Hot! Hot! She sang amazingly well and she danced a bit. The clothes she wore were better than her 1998 concert clothes. There were more costume changes and of course, they were all very sexy. She sang more songs, lots of them are nice. Her special guest was A-my my which is a 2 girl group, which is her sister Saya and her cousin Raya. They sang the song "Big Love" a very cute pop song. Also her mother appears near the end of the concert and A-mei, Saya, Raya sang with her the song "A-La-Mu". It was interesting. A very fun concert to watch.

"Jerry For You - MV All Record" - the music videos are very nicely done. The songs are great. There are slow songs and a couple of medium tempo catchy tunes. In the music videos, there are a lot of nice close up shots of Jerry. He looks so sweet and gentle when he smiling. Kelly Chen "Paisley Galaxy" Live in Concert is a very entertaining concert. She wears a lot of cool costumes. I like the "Pepsi" outfit that she wore in the beginning and sang the songs "Paisley Galaxy" & "The Color of Love". Her singing is very good. She danced a bit, it was okay. Her slow songs are better than her fast songs. This was a good concert.

June 17, 2006 Very good concert Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Out of all the Kelly Chen concerts that I've watched, this one remains to be my favorite one. Even though the costumes are not as elaborate or as gorgeous as the ones she wore in her 'Dynacarnival 2002' and 'Lost in Paradise 2005' concerts, I feel that her singing and dancing is more natural. She seems more relaxed. Love the part when she sings the song "Memorable Day" (track #8) with Dry (Mark Lui and Stephen Fung), they sounded so good! And she sang the song "Wind Flower Snow" very nicely, her voice sounds very gentle. This is a very good concert.
