In celebration of their 20th anniversary, Japanese record label giant Avex Trax has teamed up with TV Asahi for the special short drama series Otome. Aired four times a week at 1:23 am starting in April 2008, these two-minute shorts each revolve around a popular song featured in Avex's 20 Nen 200 Kyoku ("20 Years 200 Songs") 20th anniversary CD compilation, such as Otsuka Ai's Sakuranbo, Hamasaki Ayumi's glitter, and m-flo's How You Like Me Now. Avex artists like Suzuki Ami, misono, YUKI, AAA's Uno Misako, and GARNET CROW's Nakamura Yuri participated in the Otome shorts.
Volume 1 of Otome comes with the first 20 episodes.
