Paran spent the past few years soul searching for their true colors, and they've finally hit the bull's eye after a long experimental journey that included two of their previous releases. From sweet melodies to powerful rock sounds, Paran (which translates to "blue" in Korean) attempted different styles of music in hopes of finding their own shade of blue. Now, the boys return with a third album entitled U.R.M.S, demonstrating newfound maturity and a renewed sense of confidence in their music. 3집 정규 앨범으로 2년 만에 돌아온 PARAN이, 그들만의 색을 찾아, 음악을 ‘PARAN색’으로 물들였다.우울한 Blue도, 발랄한 파랑도 아닌, 그들만의 ‘PARAN색’ 음악을 들고 돌아 온 그들.앨범마다 새로운 시도를 하며, 자신들만의 색을 찾아 온 파란은 이제야 자신들에게 어울리는 옷을 입은 듯 하다고 말한다.그들만의 색을 찾은 당당함 때문인지, 음악적으로도 한 층 성숙해졌다.

1집의 파란이 풋풋한 ‘sweet blue' 였고, 2집의 파란이 강인한 ‘dark blue' 였다면,이번 3집의 파란은 깊고 진한 ‘deep blue’ 의 느낌이다. 그리고 그들이 찾은 색깔 중, 이번 앨범에서 가장 짙은 색은 ‘Paran Ballad'. 국내뿐 아니라 일본, 태국을 비롯한 동남아등 국외에서도 인정받은 그들의 라이브 실력이 녹아든 ‘Paran Ballad'에서 그들은 깊고 진해진 파란만의 목소리를 200% 풀어냈다.음반의 수록곡중 성우석의 ‘don,t cry는 강한 보이스의 창법과 락음악의 기본을 묻어냈고 프로듀서 원상우의 ‘U.R. M. S' 이나 ‘발자국’에는 남자다운 웅장함과 절제가 잘 묻어나 있으며, 파란의 타이틀로도 손색이 없는 ‘결번’ 에서는 더욱 깊어진 그들의 감성과 호소력을 만날 수 있다. 또한 'Hey girl'은 멤버 중 P.O의 자작곡으로 어느덧 싱어 송 라이터의 면모까지 보여주고 있다. 1,2집에 이어 국내 최고의 producer 원상우가 producing을 맡아 그들의 색을 더욱 짙게 만들어 주었고, 최고의 작곡, 작사가들이 모여 그들의 붓 역할을 해주었다.그렇게 만들어진 그들의 색을 보고 있으면 눈이 아닌 귀가 즐거워지는 것을 느낀다. 이번 앨범은 아시아 전역에 펼쳐질 계획으로 음악의 전향의 포커스가 각 나라에서 선호할만한 곡들로 만들어졌다. 처음 시작하는 음반의 시작을 피아니스트 황윤하의 ‘day break’(새벽)로 기지게를 펴는듯한 시작을 의미했다.
