Excellent love triangle tale
| In "Passion" Cora Miao plays an attorney's secretary who becomes engaged to marry her boss (George Lam). Sylvia Chang plays Cora's best friend who lets herself grow far too fond of Cora's fiance. "Passion" lets its love-triangle story unfold at a natural, deliberate pace and does so with a discretion and maturity that we seldom see on the silver screen. Lam, Chang, and Miao all deliver finely-modulated, moving performances, but for me Cora Miao leaves the most unforgettable impression. The sensitivity of her performance is amazing! Sylvia Chang delivers a grand slam by writing, producing, directing and acting in this fine film. To top it off, as the closing credits roll, we hear one of George Lam's best ballads. Very highly recommended. |

one of the best
| the plot is well thought of. the movies goes step by step, telling you the past history of a lawyer. it just makes you want to find out the whole story. it also makes you think, what would you do if you are the lawyer. |
